Comics Mary Jane's role in ASM

I havent read since before Brand New Day and was wondering whats been up with her. After the story started, did she and Peter know each other? Is their any attraction between them? How has their history been rewritten? Have they ever dated in the past? Is she a recurring character in the book or has she only made a few appearances

When BND started, the official line was that every single thing has happened EXCEPT that they didn't get married (they have now expanded that to two things...the second one to be announced later). They still lived together,etc,etc. Basically, take out your back issues, cross out husband/wife, and pencil in boyfriend/girlfriend.

For whatever logic problems that causes, that's the status quo.
