Good & bad

Nearly beat Platinum last night. Died on wave 10 after getting the worst 4 part objective on the other side of the map every time. Also finally got 5000 kills having had all my stats & achievement counters reset to zero a while back.

But I still haven't unlocked the Unwavering achievement for beating the original 6 multiplayer maps on gold or the N7 missions on Insanity both of which I've done. I haven't even got the Tour of Duty one for beating them on the easiest difficulty even though I've done that at least 10 times on each map. :cmad::cmad:

That sounds super weird...

I don't clearly remember but does the achievement medal in Shepard's cabin track your current progress? Maybe you can get an idea what's going on from there.

Yes they track progress. That's how I know for sure that something is wrong as it doesn''t update for example when I beat a map on gold. I'll play with friends, we'll both beat the map, fully extract & his counter updates and mine doesn't. I'm sure it's to do with the counter reset I had (a well known problem on the Bioware forums although ignored/not acknowledged by Bioware). As I was most of the way through my Insanity playthrough at the time it happened, the counters were reset to zero but still give (invisible) credit for having completed the single player part & the multiplayer equivalent. The problem is that now when I redo those requirements it doesn't give me new credit as it treats me as already having satisified the requirement, just the counter doesn't reflect that. :csad:

Shame as I just need those 2 achievements that I've already 'achieved' to get 100% on the series.

Well that sucks.

The only solutions I can think of are drastic one's that are more work than is probably worth it.

Drastic works :yay:

I need to hear it! Been thinking along those lines now that those are the only 2 left.

Well I imagine if you deleted whatever user data ME3 keeps and scrubbed it out of your hard drive and just went through the game offline, whatever tracker the game uses would reset back to zero but by staying offline you would avoid it resetting and once you've got the achievements you'd be set. Essentially my logic is resetting the game to act as if this is the first time you've ever booted it up and then not letting it interact with the internet so it doesn't try to update your tracker info. I would imagine this would require you dumping your ME3 saves though I suppose you could back those up on flash drive.

Thanks a lot mate. Definitely worth a try when I get home.

I tried something similar last night but forgot I would need to be offline to stop the counters being updated from the servers.

PS3 version of the Trilogy set and ME1 just got announced for Dec 4th (7th in Europe).

ME1 comes with Bring Down the Sky and ME2's got Zaeed, Kasumi, Overlord and Lair.

kind of sucks that the Collections won't include ALL the DLC.

I'm amazed that ME 1 is finally coming to the PS3. but, I really have no interest in the Collection. wake me up when ME 4 gets announced.......lol

The Skyrim Premium Edition isn't going to include Dawnguard or Hearthfire and the Ezio Trilogy is missing DLC as well. This is just something publishers are doing now, sadly enough.

^ yeah. That Skryim Premium Edition thing sucks too. I was hoping for some GOTY edition that included Dawnguard and Hearthfire, not art cards or whatever.

but it seems like there will be another Skyrim DLC so maybe they're waiting for that before releasing a GOTY edition.

BioWare confirmed Mass Effect 3 for Wii U contains an interactive back story for both Mass Effect 1 and 2. A number of download content is also available on the disc.
    ... More

this is a ll due to Nintendo not letting EA(yes they're really Greedy of late) take over their systems and the latter throwing a tantrum over it. so don't expect the trilogy due that any time soon.

I never thought I'd see ME1 on the PS3. :o
well this is a different case right now. this between bioware's parent company and Nintendo and a matter of the former calming down and not being so Greedy compared to bioware rights being bought back so they put out the entire series on all platforms as they wish.

Except EA and Nintendo made buddy buddy with each other about a little over a week ago.

hmmm If that were fully the case I'd think they would have dropped the motion comic deal for the trilogy as I'm sure the people at Nintendo would maybe want the latter happening them as well since it was mentioned for other systems and put them in a better setting for a strong next gen come out . Their just playing nice for the public for now til things settle.

Nintendo's letting Origin on their system, they've made nice.

ME1 and ME2 haven't been ported over to the Wii-U yet, that will take time to do (its why the PS3 version got pushed back to Dec) and Nintendo wants ME3 as a launch title. Seeing as how they likely already did the motion comic doesn't make sense to chuck it out.

the issue between the two publishers isn't letting origin on Nintendo it was letting be to only system Ala steam for pc and the apple counter part but for that consoles for games and to take over all sales where EA have full control over it all. that the the motion comic is still being done means there are no plans (yes yet) for trilogy and their stuck with the old deal due to all that. I do realize it will take time though. doesn't the can't announce that the motion comic plans was changed in favor of the other. for now it's what they are stuck with.

I guess I 'm not explaining it well enough right now. It's like they wanted to take over what would be the Nintendo e shop with origin in it's place.that's what Nintendo said no to.

they really did a better job at making the female turian look female compared to what was portrayed in the comic's that has the illusive man as the protagonist before he became the man he was before his end in ME3

Ah okay, I read you now.

In any case like I was saying it takes time to port and they already did the work of making the motion comic and developing it which is all ready for launch whereas ME1 and 2 won't be. I mean the PS3 versions wouldn't have been ready in time and they were porting 1 game there and patching another up. There's no sense in chucking out completed work for ports that won't be ready until 2013. Regardless of any tensions, I don't think this is really related to that and they can't be that bad if Nintendo agreed to Origin.

So basically what I am saying is the trilogy set wouldn't have been ready for Wii-u launch which both parties want. So to that end if you are on a wii-u and want Mass Effect, wait a year or so is my advice.
