Mass Effect 3 - - - - - Part 14

I don't think he'd be happy but Joker would understand. He didn't seem so grief stricken during the memorial sequence that he had curled up into a ball and couldn't do his job.

Well to be fair, it's not like he lost anything a good flesh light couldn't give him. :cwink:

It’s interesting when a topic as lively as female characters in games includes gender-sensitive publishers concerned with mainstream appeal, but it’s also nice to hear about those who have no trouble writing a heroine. In an EA blog post, Mass Effect 3 writer Ann Lemay says the inclusion of the female turian Nyreen Kandros as a major character in the RPG’s Omega DLC “was never an issue.”

It seems alot of dev's are running into this issue. or having issues with convincing publishers on news idea's that might work in games. well with the slight exception of this game.

the human size vibrator joke. Never get's old for some people when it's a case like joker's.

Because he totally wasn't in love with EDI. :/

I was mostly kidding with my comments.

I liked the Joker/EDI stuff in Mass Effect 3. It was nice to see Joker get a girlfriend. I just wished the only option that the stupid kid gave you that let's you destroy the Reapers didn't also kill her and your new Geth friends (if you picked them over the Quarians or got both of them as allies).

I head canon that it doesn't destroy them, until we get a ME4 that proves otherwise that's what I'll believe.

That's why I always choose control. Because I can't kill EDI and the Geth. I also don't accept space magic, that is somehow able to give cold machines organic life. Plus, I always tell myself I flew the Reapers right into the nearest star, after repairing all the Relays, getting rid of the Reaper threat once and for all.

The Extended Cut DLC kind of makes the "control ending" creepy and ominous with Shepard's voice over and all those stills of the Reapers hanging out on earth. Even the paragon version of the speech. Am I the only one that thinks this?

Nope . your not. but that's what we're left with. maybe to show a sense of loss with the win. And an unknown future.

I don't like Control either; it's basically Shepard doing what TIM wanted Shep to do. While, Synthesis is what Saren envisioned. I'm not going to give into those evil bastards, even if it comes at a severe cost..... Which it doesn't in my head. :oldrazz:

Yeah, Control was the Illusive Man's goal, but that doesn't make the choice really evil. Since we would have managed to accomplish it without all the sacrifices. Space Magic is just nonsense. Destroy, I haven't worked my ass off to save the Geth and make EDI more human, only to destroy them. But mainly, I wanted my Tali to be able to walk around her home planet, without the suit in a matter of years.

You guys would be much happier if you joined the synthesis master race. It's pretty great over here :yay:

Resistance is futile.

On my latest playthrough I plan on shooting the catalyst in the head, which I hear if you do the Reapers win and Liara's VI tells the new cycle what happened. I've tried all the endings except that one, and it would fit my renegade femsheps defiant attitude, so what the hell.

If you intend to do refuse I say do it through the dialogue option since Shepard gives a pretty good speech that you don't get just shooting at the Catalyst.

Yeah, Control was the Illusive Man's goal, but that doesn't make the choice really evil.

Not to mention that Illusive Man was aiming for a Human's First Empire, which is pretty much the opposite of what happens in the Paragon Control ending.

Its like Mordin says I'm 'not going to ignore data crucial for survival because of unethical origins'. Plus, like you I am not willing to sacrifice the people who helped me get me there.

Bioware's been so ahead of the curve in writing strong female characters that its almost not even worth mentioning anymore. FemShep also was increasingly marketed during ME3 so I wouldn't be surprised if you see that trend continue in 4 in terms of marketing. I still expect the male version to be dominant in terms of exposure of course.

Ah, should have added a spoiler warning, but I completely blanked on that. That said, I think it's a nice theory. I'll probably play Citadel last the next time I finish the game.

It's space magic and it's stupid! :cmad:

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

I think I like the idea because a finality to it regarding all the things fans said they wanted - Shepard and your squadmates, happy and celebrating.

Jesus Christ. :whatever:

Even after all this time, game journalists still don't ****ing get it. I swear to god it's like they're deliberately misrepresenting the issues fans had with the ending in an effort to make them look like crybabies who are upset because they didn't get a happy ending with rainbows and butterflies and dancing Ewoks... or Volus or something.
