Would you say From Ashes is close to the same quality as Lair of the Shadow Broker? Also, at what point in the story does it take place?

Nope. It's short but it's something any fan of the series will want to experience. And EA knows it. And that's why they're trying to squeeze an extra $10 out of anybody who didn't get the CE.

As soon as I got control of the Normandy it's the first mission I did.

its hard to compare considering you get a new squadmate with great dialogue info and flashbacks.

see shadow broker is a great dlc.... but wasnt really needed in me2.... for me..from ashes is definitely needed in me3. it should be part of the game, its like taking an entire recruit mission out of me2.

i was under the impression the dog accompanied you throughout the ship and stuff... but it just sits in the bottom floor walking around. pretty lame extra for the CE unless im doing something wrong.

Hahah that's all it's doing for me too. It makes me lol when I see it waddling in the background when I'm talking to Vega though.

dude either mine shines some blue light 10% of the time, or it sleeps next to the weapons bench and twitches its leg.

****ing mutt must have rabies.

LOL. I thought RoboDog was pretty lame to begin with. Im glad he stays in the cargo hold. Deff wouldn't want that thing following me around

fine, you and your mechkitty can purr and snuggle in sheps bed. jackass

:)

I'm enjoying the day so far but I have a few grievances, I have to switch between Disk 1 and 2 a lot and a minor bug that made my gun not fire.

Other then that I'm great!

ive gotten a few bugs too, graphic problems as well... they seem to correct themselves after a couple seconds though... one time my guns kept switching from shotgun to sniper for about 30 seconds.

Hahah this is the only glitchy moment I had. It was really awkward.

Further on his head looked to the other side, and Liara's followed. So they were basically both talking to the door hahah.

Same thing in my game, so lolly worthy.

About ten hours in...so much sexy to be had.

So everything with
Jack
was amazing.
I only did the Academy mission, but I hope she shows up again.
I feel like the game is forcing my Shep to end up with Ashely though. This better not be the case.

For some reason I realized my last save on ME2 didnt have the Arrival completed or Project Overlord so I just finished those up. I surprisingly liked PO more the second time around after disliking it initially. I hope David and the outcomes of your decision there comes into play in ME3

Anyone else like me and start this game over like 10 times just to get the look of your character just right? It never quite looks the same from the character editor to the real game. Already done so once and will probably tweak some more

Minor things I noticed. I see theres an option to take your helmet off during conversations. Love that bc its one of the things that prevented me from using them in the past game. I also like the codex entries of the various people you come across and that its spoken. I didnt get the option of what type of experience I wanted, RPG, Action or classic. Im guessing thats only avaialble if you start off new?

I also noticed that I started at level 29 with a ton of skill points to level my character. Considering I have this, does the game start harder than had I not imported my character? Do the enemies start out at the same level I am? Doesnt affect me as I dont have a 360 but on that system, do you have the option of imprting from ME1 or is it only ME2?

Haha, yeah I'm guilty of that. Did it several times in ME2, but I've only done so once for ME3.

Well I thought for sure that I would be romancing Ashley, even though I never played ME1.

But then,
Miranda's ass came back into my life now I don't know who to choose.

And Christ, talking to Vega doing pull ups and then boxing was terrible.

Ive had a sound bug with it going really low and in some spots, voices were not heard. PS3 version

My Shepard face is a pale comparison to the hot Jennifer Garner -esque Shepard I had through ME and ME2... but she looks relatively close. In most scenes, until the shader applies oddly in weird lighting and I swear every character but for the defaults look like Michael Jackson. :classicmad:

I wonder if they really can fix the import problem. Even a lot of ME2 faces look different in the ME3 engine.

Oh, and since I missed some of the previous page and just saw it - listen to the dialogue at the beginning of the game, if you're upset about "not seeing" [blackout]Shepard's trial. You didn't see it because there wasn't one. Anderson makes it pretty clear there wasn't one, although the exact dialogue changes based on new game or non-Arrival or Arrival happening, I think. I know my post-Arrival dialogue was much different from what I originally saw in the demo.[/blackout]

One of the devs actually said that you can't holster your weapons in the game due to some kind of "memory issue" or something.

That was slightly annoying. I spent a couple minutes trying to holster it, sometimes finding myself attempting to stab Liara in the face (by accident).

Not a big issue, not game breaking. Just slightly annoying.

zaeed and kasumi are worthy of preorder...from ashes should be part of the game. theres too much dialogue and info. zaeed and kasumi didnt talk much at all.

And yet, Kasumi was DLC that was charged for.

Zaheed was "free", but only with the Cerberus Network card.

I'm still worried that EA is going to wind up charging for other team members.

I'm just playing Devil's advocate here...but couldn't the same be said about Zaheed and Kasumi? Those had loyalty missions with dialogue and decisions. And Kasumi was an asset, for me atleast, in the Suicide mission.

And she's the only one that called me Shep...:hrt:

so.....if you didn't romance anyone in ME 1 and 2, do you get a chance to romance a squadmate in 3 (like Tali)?

Totally agree. They took away too many player options after one. First it was being able to change your equipment and or remove your helmet mid mission, now we can't holster our weapons during a mission. Thats lame.
