Would have made a much better Supes than Routh. I saw the crapfest that was Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and he showed 10x more range than Routh, and plus he looks the part. They wouldn't have to paint him up with make up and contacts like Routh either.

so what you are saying is that you saw a bad movie and he acted ( in a bad movie) better than routh in superman returns. am i correct?

now hold on there, dark... you're stating your opinion like it was a fact. Let the rest of the world think for themselves.

as for Bomer, I would love to see him portray the Man of Steel.

yeah, and in a bad movie with a limited amount of screentime, he still managed to exude more charisma and acting ability than routh. sad, huh? don't worry, i didn't actually pay to see chainsaw massacre. i snuck in.

well, truth be told, Bomer was actually considered for the role before Singer was brought aboard... I think in 2002.

Reeve, not Reeves.

And Matthew Bomer is like 4 feet tall, so No thanks. I'm happy with Brandon Routh and his performance.

get your facts straight. singer wanted him to look like reeve not reeves. and before you try to be a smart ass dont forget that you were the one who wrotte that bomer would be a better choice because he acted better in a bad movie. :cwink:

oh.... my.... god.... i made a spelling error, i apoligize. please don't condemn me to hell.

and on your latter point, so? have you seen bomer act at all? what do you have to go on? just because a movie is bad doesn't mean it can't have good acting in it.

Bomer did a screentest the same week as Brendan Fraser and Paul Walker for Brett Ratner in March 2003. Ratner left the project not long after that.

oh, okay... I knew I wasn't too far off...

and the reason he left is because of his crappy idea with the mythos.

What is the obsession with Bomer, he doesn't even look like Superman. He looks more like Stephen Bender's dad.

Brett said that he wanted to cast an unknown but Warner was determined to get a star. Heres the sugercoated press release from that time.

Bomer is like 5ft10, Routh is 6ft3.
Another reason why Routh was great casting.

Well to me, he doesn't really look like Routh, Reeve, or Bomer. Thats just my opinion.

How can I be "mistaken" if it's my opinion.

About Matthew Bomer as Superman? Not in the least. I'd be interested in seeing how others did look though.
