Mattchew's Halloween Costume Thread, 2007 edition.

So I'm HARDCORE about Halloween, but I've had a really hard time coming up with an idea this year.

Last year, I went as He-Man riding Battlecat.

In 2005, I went as Ripley in the Power Loader, from 'Aliens'.

Four years ago, I went as Mayor McCheese, of McDonald Land political fame.

After putting in about 10 hours of work on a My Pet Monster costume, I scrapped it as not a cool enough idea.

Today, after some HARDCORE brainstorming, I came up with the costume idea I'll be wearing this year for Halloween, whether, come Halloween, I like it or not:

I am SOOOOOOOO pumped for this idea, I have NO IDEA how I didn't already think of it. Let me know what you think of it as a concept!

So, the Predator wears this weird... like... fishnet body stocking thing. I can't make that. And while I like to only use things I make, I'm not learning to make a fishnet body stocking any time soon.

So I bought one. In fact, I bought this one:

I was looking for a man's fishnet body stocking, but oddly enough they don't make those. who knew?

Ah well. A little body paint, armor, and blood will butch it up, right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!

anyway, I'm hoping this will be the ONLY piece of the costume that doesn't come straight out of a package (although there's an argument to be made that there is NOTHING straight about this).

Anyway, cue the jokes about wearing women's body stockings, or whatever.

Minor update...

Just to frame things a bit better, this in the top part of the head... the space @ the bottom where you might imagine the mouth to go is actually the eye hole.

gonna start sculpting and doing paper mache soon.

Well, on the bright side, if the predator thing falls through, you can always go as black canary.

Ripley in the power loader is great, great. Can't wait to see this year's. You must get a lot of compliments. If there's one thing that is good about going like this to Halloween parties, is that you become famous, and everyone wants to touch you On this matter, it works for both heteros and gays

I remember when I went as Wolverine (not even that original) it was a lot easier to get girls than all the other years, when I used to go as magician, wizard, vampire, etc.

These are really freakin cool. I've had the honor of parading around in an OFFICIAL hamburgler head (the suit was too small for me). that was accidentally left at my work by a forgetful McDonalds marketing team. It was a night to be remembered.

I love looking at your costumes, I keep comming back and looking again haha. My friends and I all went to Salem Ma last year and we all went as the Scooby Gang (one of our friends was the Mystery Machine which we built ourselves) and this year they wanna do a theme again and they are thinkin' Hairspray...but no one will know who we are...I wish we were as creative as you...any Ideas?
