Here in Vancouver, about three years back, that style was huge on both men and women. I'd say people around 20, early 20s, college age type kids. I recall being on a bus one day and seeing no less than half a dozen people with the exact same hair style.

Due to the shaved sides, a friend and I started referring to it as the "Hitler Youth Cut". Now it's nowhere to be seen.
