Maus is a graphic novel by American cartoonist Art Spiegelman, serialized from 1980 to 1991. It depicts Spiegelman interviewing his father about his experiences as a Polish Jew and Holocaust survivor. The work employs postmodern techniques and represents Jews as mice and other Germans and Poles as cats and pigs. Critics have classified Maus as memoir, biography, history, fiction, autobiography, or a mix of genres. In 1992 it became the first graphic novel to win a Pulitzer Prize.

Do you think we will ever see an adaption of this? I'm honestly surprised there isn't one out there yet. I could see it being a critical darling like Persepolis.

I feel like maybe there's lessons here that people need to learn or relearn these days

Yeah, I always assumed some kind of animated film would be made with story.

There's probably been people who've tried to get in developed but things didn't work out.

It's definitely one of those stories that needs the right creative team. You couldn't use it to sell happy meals that's for sure!

Is Topol still alive? I always imagined his voice for Vladek. He would be perfect. And adrien Brody for Art
