That's good news for gamers...even though I haven't played Max Payne games yet but I want to play 'em. I always wanted to ask here in the game forums; I've seen the scores and they're good but I want to ask those who played them.

What's the gameplay like, it's a good third-person shooter, yes, but what else? I've heard Payne 2 is repetitive... In your own words... Thanx in advance.

They're not too innovative by today's standards, but they've got a good, noirish story and solid shooting/bullet time mechanics. They're obnoxiously hard in some places, but that's part of what makes them fun.

If you get 'em for PC, there's also a ton of good mods for them.

I've wanted a third Max Payne game, but I was willing to wait for Alan Wake to be finished and released before I grew impatient. Rockstar on the other hand isn't wanting to be patient.

I'll at least try the demo when it comes out before I make up my mind either way

I dunno, it just won't be Max Payne without Mona. My guess is she will be assumed dead for most of the game and the one of the big twists near the end will be that she is alive
