The Force Awakens Max von Sydow as Darth Plagueis?

I haven't seen anything at all from Star Wars Rebels, but I've heard people theorizing he could be Kanan Jarrus.

Sydow I think is heavily implied to be two things after watching the film.

He was Rey's caretaker, in the same way Ben was Luke's. Sent there to keep an eye on her.

Secondly I think he's from Alderaan, given the line of dialogue "To me she's royalty."

Actually, Unkar Plutt (the alien she sells her scrap to) is who was taking care of Rey. In her Force vision, while the ship is leaving her on Jakku, the arm holding her back is his and you hear his voice telling her to come with him.

On a side note, once I noticed this, it makes him yelling, "That's mine!" a little more curious. Was he referring to the Millennium Falcon or Rey?

I wanted him to be Kennan Jarus. The lack of connection to the very little canon lore was a bit dissapointing. I want to believe either Ben Mendelsohn or Mads Mikkelsen play a younger verison of his character in Rogue One.
