My heart wants Pacquiao to win but I am giving it to Mayweather by decision. Mayweather's level of defense and countering is just something else.

Everyone seems to agree that Mayweather on points is the likely outcome. Pacquaio would have to get lucky to win, to catch him, hurt him and fully capitalise. I just hope it's close.

Imo this would have been great about 3-5 years ago when they both were in their respective peaks. Similar to Hopkins/Jones II, this is happening 5 years too late (Much like Hopkins/Jones II)

That being said my heart says Pac, my head says Mayweather

Mayweather by majority decision.

Agreed, this fight just isn't as exciting and impactful now. Maybe 5-7 years ago but not in the present. I'll still watch it but I'm not gonna leave work early to get a spot at the bar or buy the PPV.

Going to go for broke and predict that manny knocks out floyd.

Although, i wont be surprised one bit if the fight ultimately ends up with mayweather winning by a closely scored unanimous decision.

It really would have been the fight of the century with both guys at their peaks. I couldn't have called it then. Now they are both not as good but Pacquiao has fallen further from his absolute best.

Heart: Pacquiao with the KO in the 7th

Head: Mayweather on points

As much **** as Mayweather talks, he's a pretty good strategist in the ring. I honestly think it'll be close, but he'll manage to eke out a win.

I hope Manny wins. Floyd is an illiterate woman-beater, and he refuses to acknowledge his problems. I know Manny had issues a few years ago, but at least he got over them.

I know Floyd will win, but I hope Manny knocks his a** out.

So Michelle Beadle and Rachel Nihcols were banned by Showtime/Floyd from covering the fight. They were not given credentials, because they they covered Floyd's history of misogyny and beating women. Yeah, I am sure this helps that image.

This fight should have happened in 2009 when both fighters were very much in the peaks of their careers. Both of them are still highly relevant, but it would have been so much bigger had it happened in 2009. It kinda reminds me of Lennox Lewis vs Mike Tyson which should have happened 3-4 years before it actually did as well.

Anyway, I think Mayweather will win. I think his defensive shell will be too much for Pacquiao to be able to get at him consistently & the longer the fight goes on the more I feel Mayweather will be able to pick apart Pacquiao whom Mayweather described & I agree, as kinda reckless in his attacks at times. Mayweather is much more methodical & won't care if he stinks up the joint, he'll stick to his gameplan & pepper Manny at every opportunity.

I think Mayweather will win by either a late TKO or decision BUT I'm going to put some money on Pacquiao finishing him inside the first 4 rounds as I feel if he's going to beat Floyd that's when he'll do it.

Mayweather's peak was the early 2000s imo. He was at his absolute best at Super Featherweight. The Corrales fight was his best performance imo.

The day has finally come. The minutes. The seconds. We have reached our moment. Eat. Sleep. Break The Streak. 47-1 (otherwise Mayweather will never shut up about winning tonight.) #PinoyPride

Floyd, in relative ease. I expect similar to Mosley, Manny will catch him with something big early. But he'll weather that early storm to virtually shut him out in route to what haters will call a boring decision. In fact, it'll be an exhibition of boxing at it's finest...

Mayweather's peak was the early 2000s imo. He was at his absolute best at Super Featherweight. The Corrales fight was his best performance imo.

He's been phenomenal his whole career no doubt about it, I thought the older he got while he maybe lost a little of his physical attributes the older he gets, he also gets smarter & technically even better.

He was certainly more exciting I'd say in his mid-twenties, seemed to have a little more willingness to go in for the kill.

Are there any notable fights on the undercard?

Oh cool I'm watching now.
