I thought this was a joke. It's not.

I realize that as more and more people get degrees, that their overall value will decrease, but this is getting ridiculous.

Or maybe they found out that 85% of college graduates move back in with their parents, and that 40% end up taking any job they can find.

How much worse is this going to get?

If that happened here, I swear I would ask to see the manager and ask him or her why they were doing that, and then tell them off. Cheeky....b#######. **** like this, just makes me more and more of a 'Some people just want to watch the world burn' type of person.

What about a McDonald's job possibly makes it relevant whether or not you have a bachelor's degree?

He probably has a PhD.

I always thought I was over qualified for a McDonald's job. It turns out I'm under qualified. :csad:

You know the real irony is that one of my high school teachers used to say that if we didn't get our (high school) degree, that we would be flipping burgers for the rest of our lives. Shows what she knew.

Come to think of it, I've never seen a job ad that requires a specific kind of Bachelors, only that a Bachelors is required/preferred.

Considering almost everytime I go to McDees they get the order wrong in one way or another....I say it's about time they got some employees with higher edumacation....:cmad::cmad:

:o I didn't finish community college, but is a 2.3 GPA good enough to make silly arse lattes?

The first thing you learn in Women's Studies 101 is the social construction underlying the Shamrock Shake.

I just turned in an application for McDonalds; I needed a part time job to help pay my way through PA school. They're interested in employees with a BS in Biology and a focus in Genetics, Organic Chemistry, and Endocrinology. :ninja:

You need all that stuff to understand what the heck the Filet O Fish is made from.

Something FISHY, FISHY is going on here. :sus

I don't get lattes...but if I say I want something plain....that means plain. If I say no onions...that means NO onions. I don't order hard to understand things...all I ask is for them to listen and make it right.

And then you get one little tiny...onion.

Do you take it back if there's 1 onion on it?

Here is a true story...this really happened.

I live in Georgetown, Ky. One year I was on vacation in Louisiana. I stopped at a McDonalds to get something to eat. It was a long line and taking them forever to get any orders out (and half were going back for being wrong). I said to a guy standing ahead of me - "This is terrible." .... he said - "I've seen worse. There's this place in Kentucky...a little town called Georgetown...that's the absolute worse McDonalds in the country."

I kid you not.

If I need my Bachelor's degree to get the job, they better start me at $80K a year.

I know that McD's. :woot:

Good to see that my $160,000 education is becoming more and more relevant.
