We will be doing VS. battles for the MCU every week and will be using the Winners and Losers to create an accurate power tier list created by some of it's biggest fans (you). So don't forget to VOTE and after voting for a Winner please include a comment on which power tier, both the Winner and Loser should reside within. Also, see below for more details on the characters abilities as well as for a list of available power tiers to choose from.

Don't forget to put which Tier group you think The Destroyer and Abomination belong to in your posts.

So, without further delay here is this week's match up

THE DESTROYER Vs. ABOMINATION

THE DESTROYER

- Superhuman Strength: The Destroyer's large size and construction gives it formidable physical power, enough to bat away a car hurled at it, and send Volstagg flying with apparent ease. The Destroyer's immense superhuman strength enables it to effortlessly kill a being of human strength and resilience with as little as a back handed strike with an open hand. This allowed it to fatally injure a mortal Thor with severe blunt trauma which sent him flying through the air. With more effort, it can kill a Frost Giant or even Asgardian with its strength, as even the combined efforts of Lady Sif and the Warriors Three did not stand a chance against the Destroyer. Only Thor was able to hold his own against it, after fully regaining his powers.

- Superhuman Durability: The Destroyer is constructed of other worldly materials that make it highly resistant to damage. Even when pierced by Sif's Asgardian lance, it was able to continue functioning. Also, no known human weaponry can harm or destroy it, with Mjølnir being the only known weapon capable of harming it.

- Odinforce Blast: The Destroyer powered by the Odinforce, which resembles a fiery energy, can be unleashed through an aperture in its head. When it does this, part of the facial structure retracts downward into the lower face and the energy discharge lances out in a wide, orange-white, fire like beam. This beam is extremely powerful, as the touch of it is enough to blast a car to pieces, vaporize a living being (even one as durable as a Frost Giant) or lay waste to any structure (a building, for example) it lays its "eyes" upon. Only beings of incredible power, like Thor, are able to withstand these blasts.

- Retrograde Positioning: The Destroyer is able to rearrange the armor pieces that make up its body, giving it a nearly unlimited range of motion. When attacked from behind it was able to face its opponent without turning around by instead fully rotating its arms, legs, and head. This was used when Sif drove a lance through its back and the Destroyer swiftly re-positions itself to blast her.

- Sensory Scrying and Partial Possession: The Destroyer is linked to whoever holds Gungnir and recognizes the spear's wielder as its master. The wielder of Gungnir can perceive whatever transpires around the armor and pilot it by partially possessing it, even if they are separated at vast distances across the Nine Realms. Thus, it can be stopped by an attack on its master, should they have left themselves vulnerable to attack. It was first commanded by Odin, and then by Loki. Odin seemed to be able use it to Frost Giants breaking into his vault, and that Loki was using it to try and kill Thor while he was in possession of Gungnir.

ABOMINATION

- Superhuman Strength: Immense strength enables him to hurl normal humans and cars great distances, easily tear through brick buildings, and even to kick Hulk through a building. Displayed noticeably superior strength to Hulk for a period of time. (Keep in mind, this IS canon, thus the same Hulk as from the Avengers, Age of Ultron, Ragnarok etc).

- Superhuman Speed: Due to the Super Soldier Serum Blonsky's speed was noticeably higher than that of an ordinary human. When running, Blonsky could easily outpace an army platoon, and even Hulk seemed to have trouble keeping up with him. Even after Blonsky was transformed, he is still able to move at speeds greater than of a normal human, as he was able to chase down a damaged Humvee with ease.

- Superhuman Durability: Abomination's bodily tissues, much like Hulk's, are substantially harder and more resistant to injury than the tissues of an ordinary human. His durability is enhanced to a high degree, and he apparently suffered no ill effects from burning and explosions. He was able to withstand high-caliber bullets and even Hulk's melee attacks.

- Superhuman Endurance: As a super-soldier, he was able to run faster and fight for a long time without tiring. As Abomination, Blonksy's highly advanced musculature produces vastly less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. He is capable of physically exerting himself at peak capacity for several days before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.

- Regenerative Healing Factor: As a super-soldier, Blonsky's regenerative healing factor allowed him to recuperate from extensive injuries in the space of a day, including fractures throughout his entire skeleton. His super-soldier healing factor was much more advanced than any other recipient of the Super Soldier Serum, meaning that all the super-soldiers took different variants. This is proven by the fact that Blonsky regenerated from extensive physical traumas within the space of a day, whereas Rogers would take a week or less to recover from such injuries. After taking a blood transfusion from Hulk, his advanced healing factor was further enhanced, allowing him to heal at the same rate as Hulk, which is already a very high rate of regeneration. This makes him seemingly invulnerable and potentially immortal.

- Retractable Skeletal Spikes: Abomination possesses sharp spikes on his arms, elbows, back, and feet. These emerged through Blonsky's transformation acted as weapons when Abomination was in battle with Hulk. The sharp spike on his elbow was used to cause a deep wound on Hulk´s chest, cutting right through the latter's extremely durable skin.

I could almost see Abomination winning this, especially when he gets into a rage. I can see the Odin blast hurting Abomination for a minute but I got Abomination by a pubic hair, winning 5.1/10.

I tend to lean towards The Destroyer simply because I don't know what Blonsky could do to stop it.

Same, Abomination doesn't have a weapon like Mjolnir to turn The Destroyer's blast against itself like Thor did.

The Destroyer has only been effected by Asgardian weapons, I doubt Blonsky's bone spikes could pierce it's armor.

I don't think Abomination can exploit his weaknesses.

Here's my thoughts, and bear in mind this is only based on the movies not the comics:

In Thor, after he gets his powers back the Destroyer is beaten in moments with what seems like little effort from Thor.
In Incredible Hulk, Hulk has an incredibly hard time fighting Abomination.

Given that Thor with Mjolnir seems to be on par with Hulk in a fight, then Abomination should win this one for sure.

What weakness? Thor killed The Destroyer with brute force, Abomination could do the same.

The Destroyer seemed to destroy itself. Thor with his hammer blocked his rays which redistributed the blast throught it's interior, which resulted in explosion. I don't think Abomination can turn the Destroyer on himself like that. Further, Thor neutralized it partly by forcing it off its feet and to fight him while flying. Abomination will have to over power him outright.

So Hulk and Thor and all pretty much start out equally and we know Thor beat The Destroyer. However, he did it with Mjolnir. Hulk choked out Abomination with a chain which IMHO make his less powerful than Hulk.

Guessing Destroyer wins this one given that Abomination won't have any Asgardian weapons, or knowledge of what it is he's fighting, and he doesn't have Hulk or Thor's durability.

Yep, I don't know why people continously choose to overlook this.

So not true. He took missiles and blows from the Hulk like they were nothing. He's just as tough as Thor and Hulk.

Abomination is similar to Hulk. Thor struggled with Hulk but crushed Destroyer with little effort. Abomination wins.

The Hulk from "The Incredible Hulk" could barely lift a humvee, he was nowhere near as strong or durable as the Hulk from The Avengers films and Ragnarok.

A helicoper crashing into TIH's Hulk made him bleed and Abomination bleed from being hit with car's.

You guys are comparing this guy....

To this guy!

[YT]gW6FNnEC5kk[/YT]

[YT]jGEHMKIa_9o[/YT]

And I know he's canonically the same character, but c'mon guys let' be reasonable here there's a HUGE difference.

Thor was able to block/deflect the Destroyer 's death ray with Mjolnir - he never took a direct hit from it.

Abomination could block the beams with.....his face?

Destroyer fries Abomination - Destroyer wins.

Good fight match up. But got to give this one to the Destroyer. Thor didn't beat him with brute force, he beat The Destroyer by fighting smart and taking the fight out of The Destroyers comfort zone where it could only hit Thor with its energy blasts. Thor then turned one of those blasts back onto TD which is what defeated him. There must have been a reason Thor didn't go toe to toe with TD.

Abom is powerful, but piercing weapons did nothing to TR, not even Asgardian ones. So I don't see how Abom hurts TD in any way.

Definitely, because MCU Thor hasn't fought that "safe" in any other battle since not even against Kurse.

This is how Thor defeated The Destroyer for everyone that wants to conveniently forget.

Yep, Thor has never fought that cautiously since, there must be a reason for that and being Odin’s son he obviously knows what The Destroyer is capable of.

The Destroyer wins this fight. Blonsky can't deal with the beam and even if he can pierce the Destroyer's armor it just seems to just keep going anyway.

In the comics the Destroyer's in a whole different league to Abom but in the MCU they only have a few feats each to judge by so it's way closer.

The Destroyer was probably more durable, it's hard to say who's stronger and then Destroyer has its blasts but they've never damaged anything as durable as Abom.

I voted Destroyer for this reason in the end. If it's powerful enough to make a big impression on Thor - presumably back when he was more arrogant/glory seeking- and make him come up with a strategy to keep it off balance/avoid letting it hit him then it must be way more dangerous than we got to see on-screen.

That plus Thor being above Hulk tips the scaling in the Destroyer's favour.

It damaged Asgardians, since it had Volstagg unable to walk by himself and Sif admitted that The Destroyer could kill them.

"I shall die a warrior's death", I'm sure Asgardians are fairly close to Abomination in durability.
