Who's gonna tell her?
Not to ruin the joke or anything, But Sophie was kind stuck between a rock and a hard place. An interviewer asked her if she wanted to meet an avenger, so she answered. I don't think she's being naïve or anything. If she said she didn't want an to meet/be an avenger than there would be a bunch fanboys accusing her of being jealous of Avengers success etc. Sorry if I'm coming of a overly defensive of her I just thought the shade was little unwarranted.:yay:

Each fight involving the Black Order or Thanos himself we’re relatively short lived so any X Men related involvement would’ve been difficult since they have no association with the Avengers or Dr Strange thus no reason to be anywhere near these fights.

Where do you think Xavier's School retroactively was? New York?
You're also ignoring that if the X-Men were 21 years old during Civil War, both sides would have prioritized recruiting them over Ant-Man and a 15-year-old.

Let Feige and co figure out how they'll explain the existence of mutants. Honestly, I only care about treating the characters with respect. And that I'm sure they'll do it.

Right.

I'm still torn about MCU Ororo. Always wanted it to be Lupita, but that's out of the window now. They just need to get my Goddess down right, and no short white haircut/mohawk.

Yeah, I've always wanted to be Lupita too. Now I have Dewanda Wise in my mind, but I'd actually love it if they cast an african actress, like Lupita.

Upstate New York as it’s always been. The fights didn’t last more than 15 minutes. As far as the why they’re not recruited that’s in the writing. Let the professionals come up with the reasons we haven’t come up with.

*15-year-old Scott Summers is on a field trip, staring at his smart phone*
*It's playing a video of the airport battle fought over the Sokovia Accords*
*A bully elbows him so hard his glasses fall off "Watch where you're going, orphan!"*
*Eye beams directly at the screen, which fades to "Eight Years Later"*

Westchester is an hour from NYC by car. The X-Men have a jet that can fly around the world in a handful of hours. And I don't think the fight in the Avengers was really over in just 15 minutes.

It’s already friggin stupid in the comics how the X-Men don’t do a damn thing to help the other heroes during crisises that don’t involve a huge crossover. How the hell can they justify this crap in this universe?

I just hope somewhere down the line we get an Age of Apocalypse two part movie event similar to IW in either Phase 9/10 of the MCU which would celebrate 20 years of films.

Yeah, that fight with Ebony Maw was about 15 minutes long if not shorter before they shot off in to space. Sit there for 15 minutes and tell me that doesn’t feel like a long enough time.

Tha majority of the GA couldn’t give a **** about this stuff. They are still asking why Batman CAN’T appear in this universe. :funny:

The majority of the GA went to see Adam Sandler and Friedberg/Seltzer movies. **** them.

Because the Avengers never really help the X-men either. Look at the MDay fallout.

Unfortunately if you want to see projects you like get made you need them. If enough people cared about the issues being discussed then they would be dealt with, but even many of the hardcore fans don’t care.

That’s still a petty thing to do if that’s the case. At least in Civil War, it’s because they were more focused on regrouping their remaining kind than doing anything else, but it needs to be less about helping the Avengers and more about helping innocent civilians, even those who are bigots. It’s the right thing to do.

For all we know, while the Avengers were taking on Thanos, the X-Men could've been fighting Magneto on Asteroid M or trapped somewhere in Mojoworld.

It's not that hard to adapt the mutants in the MCU.

They probably can't. The films have actually done a pretty good job with continuity so far (Homecoming being 8 years after The Avengers and 2 months after Civil War, which is 8 years after Iron Man's ending, notwithstanding). So if they start the X-Men from their beginning as 5-6 early high schoolers being taught by Xavier, I'll trust them that the Avengers and X-Men won't ignore each other unless it's justified. But if the X-Men suddenly appear out of nowhere in their late 20s? It means they don't give a damn if the universe is friggin stupid.

That's violating the principle "show, don't tell."
"Where were you dips***s when a 17-year-old kid was trying to save half the universe from Thanos?"
"Fighting Magneto, who had a plan to take over the world from an asteroid. It was really cool; you shoulda seen it."

No its not, but some would rather be close minded and pedantic about it

Yeah, it's not. It's actually super easy: mutants never manifested in significant numbers before the X-Men film (there was maybe one per generation worldwide). The film follows Xavier as he creates his school for the six adolescents who have come to his attention.

exactly what we need, another movie where x-men arent really x-men yet. after FC, DOFP, Apocalypse... no thanks.

the O5 is important, and they can show their picture hanging on a wall, but the x-men became superpopular once the characters moved to adulthood.

i hope we get to see them in their mid 20s, ready for action. i will gladly accept any explanation about their whereabouts during previous mcu films.

My current favourites the part are Dewanda Wise and Jade Eshete

Agreed. Love the O5 but they arent important or required as the start for any adaptation of the X-men that isnt the 616 comics

Stark would be like "You really are ******ed. No wonder you're over 25 and live at a place called 'School for Gifted Youngsters'. Gifted with low IQs."

So besides the heroes directly in the fight in Wakanda and the the Avengers and Fury, who knows of Thanos without being told by one of those involved? How would they know more than just some aliens appearing for a few minutes destroying things in Manhattan and then the attack on Wakanda which getting any specific news from there would be difficult to begin with.
