I really like this! This is completely different and fresh from anything we've seen before, sets up new & old characters with themes being embodied in new ways, whilst still staying true to the spirit. It reminds me of Homecoming in that sense.Big question there. I think I'll just post my idea for a first film for now so I'm not posting one giant novel. Wrote a huge wall of text up but I was rambling and I think bullet points are clearer.
- Storm appears first in BP2. Rogue appears first in Captain Marvel 2 as an antagonist who drains Marvel powers before switching sides.
- Danvers herself knows what it's like to be manipulated into fighting for the wrong cause, I think she'd see herself in Rogue and could become a mentor to her.
- Xavier, Beast, Moira McTaggery as faculty.
- Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Forge, Pixie, Tattoo, Quentin Quire, Sunfire as the first class.
- Big focus on the teens learning to control their powers and teenage/highschool stuff in the first act.
- Jubilee is the POV. Pixie is Jubilee's best friend. Sunfire the aloof loner. Quire and Storm both show promise as the group's leader.
- The Friends of Humanity, lead by Graydon Creed are stirring up hatred against mutants and even tracking down and killing mutants.
- The X-men form because these teens want to showcase the best of mutant-kind. They begin doing volunteer work, catching petty thieves etc.
- Cyclops manifests his powers and destroys his house. FoH are drawn to the scene to enact vigilante justice.
- The teen X-men go behind Xavier's back to rescue Cyclops. Pixie is killed in the confrontation with FoH.
- Cyclops is bought into the mansion
- Quire rallies Tattoo and Jubilee on a vengeance mission against FoH, but Jubilee backs out as things get serious. Tattoo and Quire kill a FoH member in cold blood. Jubilee flees back to the mansion.
- With Quire and Tattoo in the wind, Forge helps Xavier and Beast build Cerebro to track them down.
- Quire and Tattoo break into a private lab to steal an experimental serum which will increase their mutant powers. Good showcase of Tattoos phasing powers.
- The climax is a three-way fight between the FoH, Quire/Tattoo and the X-men. A FoH rally devolves into a city-wide riot and witch-hunt against mutants. Quire and Tattoo are out to kill as many FoH members as possible. The X-men are trying to reduce civilian casualties as much as possible.
- The climax could feature mutants being attacked across New York city. We could introduce characters for future films here. The X-men could rescue characters like Iceman and Nightcrawler who would return as major characters in the sequel.
- After remaining aloof for much of the film, Sunfire comes in during the climax to help the X-men. He doesn't join the team but chooses to fight for mutant-kind on his own terms.
- The film ends with Quire killing Graydon Creed before being subdued and apprehended by the X-men. We end with the future uncertain for mutants. Quire caused much destruction in New York, casting mutants in a dangerous light. Creed is held up as a martyr by anti-mutant extremists. But the X-men remain a symbol of human/mutant cooperation.
- Post-credits scene back at the secret lab. This lab doesn't belong to just anybody, it belongs to Mr. Sinister.
I guess I'll try my hand at a contemporary, fresh "reimagining" of the X-Men from the ground up that's inspired from your pitch
'The X-Men' -
- In the 5 years since the devastating events of 'Avengers: Endgame', a new race of human beings have begun to emerge around the world. The Xavier Foundation For Orphaned Youth is a foster home for young runaways and/or abandoned, scared mutants who need a place to call home.
- Jubilation Lee (12) is transferred to the new home where she meets: Ororo Munroe (19) Scott Summers (17), Jean Grey (16), Sooraya Qadir (15), Barnell Bohusk (14), Bobby Drake (15) and Joanna Cargill (17) -- Hank McCoy (34) is among the handful of foster parents (Sean Cassidy (44), Moira MacTaggert (42) )
- The Brotherhood is a street gang that otherwise serves the same purpose as Xavier's home except it's an underground band of misfits and rebels run by Irene Adler (55) aka Destiny. Members include Rogue (14), Avalanche (19), Toad (18), Phantazia (27) and Rand0m (34)
- The kids hear rumors about the Brotherhood at school and soon the gang decides to reveal itself to the world and "rise up" against humans, believing they are inherently superior beings. Running a recruitment campaign through social media and other platforms to spread anarchist propaganda to angry/disgruntled mutants. News organizations take notice of this activity as fear and uncertainty starts to spread. Politician Henry P. Gyrich also takes notice as well as the host of the infamous radio show "Friends of Humanity": Grayden Creed (Think Alex Jones)
- The kids decide to do something; to take action. They want to counter the Brotherhood's message of division and hate and show people that mutants can be a force for good too. The kids create yellow-blue uniforms (think Spidey's homemade suit) complete with masks, and come up with superhero names for themselves: Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Storm, Beak, Dust, Frenzy, Iceman and Jubilee-- and they begin using their powers to help people, raising money for social services, food banks, charity as well as fighting petty crime. The locals nickname the masked mutant samaritans- 'X-Men'
- Meanwhile, the Brotherhood becomes a terroristic threat and launch their first attack on a Grayden Creed hosted Town Hall meeting with Gyrich and Robert Kelly to discuss the "mutant issue". Mass hysteria ensues and with the X-Men's TRUE call to action now clear, they realize that they must stop the Brotherhood.

Key plot points of Act 2:
The X-Men have Joanna/Frenzy infiltrate the Brotherhood to get information on their next attack which happens to be in Central Park since Kelly is planning on holding a rally there (he's running for president). The X-Men successfully stop the Brotherhood and they swear revenge. Kelly begins to fear mutants
- The Brotherhood attack Bayville High School looking for the X-Men and as the school evacuates, an epic fight happens in the Cafeteria. An FBI investigation led by Valerie Cooper traces the Brotherhood back to their hideout
- Joanna ends up joining the Brotherhood having become radicalized and Beak who has been bullied non-stop for his appearance, does the same in an emotional falling out between the team
- A SWAT team raids the Brotherhood's base and Beak is killed in the skirmish. The X-Men watch from the news and Scott feels immense guilt and doubts himself, doubts the team and the path that he led to Beak's death. Ororo reassures Scott that the X-Men can be a symbol of hope and an agent of change, where people like Beak do not have to live in fear because of how they were born.
Enter Act 3: ......Haven't thought of a satisfying climax just yet
