I figure this is a common problem, so I think it is alright to ask for advice here.

I have had a plantar wart on my right foot since September, and have tried several remedies to get rid of it. I have seen a doctor about this, and he gave me several over-the-counter suggestions, as well as a surgical option. I have tried freezing it and using salicylic acid, but that has not worked thus far. I heard duct tape may work, but I'm a bit of a skeptic.

I have scheduled another doctor's appointment a week from Wednesday, so I will obviously seek advice while I am there. In the mean time, does anyone (preferably someone who had this problem in the past) have a suggestion as to what I could do to either 1) remove the damn thing, or 2) ease the pain?

John Cale always eases the pain for me. :(

Yes-- I'm simply looking to see if some of the proposed treatments from all around the internets actually work.

I don't think he'd help...

If anyone gets this, you get a cookie.

my brother is having the same problem...go see a dermatologist...he just got his burnt off(or somethin like that) and then peeled off and it seems to be working...idk exactly what they did but defenitely see a dermatologist

I had what was possibly a planters wart on the bottom of my heel for quite some time when I was younger.
Being deathly afraid of the doctor I sterilized a razor blade and sheared it off myself (i think i might have dug out a bit too).
Not that I would suggest such a thing, but it worked for me. Never came back at least.

my brother took a nail file to his, filed it until it bled, squeezed it until the fluid came out, put alcohol on it and a band aid and when he took the band aid off, it was gone

I had a wart on my hand for aaaaagggggeeeesssss, I mean months. Then one day I woke up and it was gone! So i'm not sure what you should do man, you could wait it out and it might just go away by itself. But i heard bazooka is pretty good.

i had a wart on my finger earlier this year and i got some over the counter wart freezer thing

i just had to file the skin above it down and do like 3 ten second holds of this thing over it and within a week or so it had fallen off

saying that, i don't know what a plantar wart is...

Yeah, what's a plantar wart?

anyhoo

I had a wart on my thumb when I was 17, I've got a high pain threshold, so I kinda just got some nail clippers & clipped it off. Probably not the safest method granted, but it never came back.

This thread is just disturbing. :csad: ****ing ew. Nail files, nail clippers and hacksaws?? *leaves*

Just keep playing with it until it falls off/becomes infected.

The wart on my hand was a bit of a result really. When I got nicked they obviously took my finger prints, but there was a wart on one of them! Now it has gone! So my finger print now doesn't match the one they have got!

MUWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :hoboj:
