I wish this was joke. But I just can't believe this is a movie. & It doesn't appear to be a comedy. I mean WTF!:csad:

As if people didn't already have enough ammunition to launch at this guy. Might be a good movie, though, who knows. It looked okay from the trailer, but you can't always go by that.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed to see this wasn't a straight up comedy. Who knows though, could still be a great watch.

The first time I watched the trailer it was a big WTF. I watched it again, and I don't know, it didn't seem quite as WTF, though still kind of odd in a way that I'm not sure how to take. It also reminds me of something, but can't put my finger on.

It kind of reminds me of Lars and the Real Girl . The trailer didn't surprise me because I read about it awhile ago but it's more dramatic than I was expecting. It could be a good role for Mel Gibson.

Perhaps this magical beaver can help him over-come his bordering psychotic racism, sexism, antisemitism and violent threats to woman.

Edit: Come to think of it, this is begging to be dubbed over with his rant.

:woot: The sooner the better

I think it looks really good. I could careless about his life off of the big screen and quite frankly its his own business and none of us should know or care about it. All we should care about is how he acts in movies and it looks like he is going to be great in this movie.

I've been following this film for some time. Aparently this script was one of the top scripts in Hollywood a few years ago and has been in development hell the last few years. This was filmed before he was arrested for drunk driving I believe.

It's supposed to be a really good movie. It's a film I'm interested in, despite his troubles.

I wouldn't go that far though. Some of the things he said was pretty messed up.

i don't give a s**t what anyone says, Mel is awesome :word:

movie looks pretty strange though

I hadnt heard a thing about this project and caught the trailer. Definitely caught my attention. It`s odd but i dont know, it got me curious.

It looks like a half drama and half comedy movie.......I mean how can you possibly take Mel Gibson talking through a beaver puppet seriously?

Yes, because all of us on here are perfect. Therefore we have the right to judge him.

I greatly enjoy Mel's movies, both in front of and behind the camera. But something tells me that this is going to BOMB hard.

This movie doesnt look that bad at all, i actually really enjoyed the trailer, and as someone who has had a family member suffer from deep depression, its a very emotionally driven movie. And with everything going on in Mel's life you have to think this movie was very, id say almost therapeutic for him to play this role. I love the cast for the movie, outside the whole beaver puppet comedy bits i think this is a very well done movie. Definitely one im going to check out

Yeah, my post wasn’t a comment towards the quality of the movie (it looks very unique and I’m certainly interested in it), but more so how people’s perception of Mel will play a part in their decision to see this. I don’t think it really helps the fact that he’s playing an emotionally challenged individual whose family and career is being effected by his issues. I think people will think that he’s trying too hard to get back into their good graces. The fact that this was filmed prior to what happened with Mel and his girlfriend won’t even register to 95% of the general audience.

Its Like Mr. Garrison & Mr. Hat on South Park only with a beaver.:D

This has a shot at being a gem. Turning problems around with a puppet at random=fresh. :o
