Men In Black 3 to return....?

MIB 3 set to return to big screen in 2011... I'm not sure I want another one usually 3rd movies in the franchises suck.

I found the 2nd movie disappointing.
Can't say that the 3rd is really a movie I want to see.

I think the best thing to do is not have smith/jones return. Maybe cameo roles.

Keep it fun, but also take itself a bit more seriously this time... MIIB was one big joke

No Smith/Jones = NO POINT.

What exactly would persuade audiences to go out and see a MIB III minus Smith and Jones? It'd be like freakin' "Son of the Mask" or "Dumb & Dumberer"...people would be like, what's the point? It may as well go straight to dvd.

The Men in Black are bigger than Smith/Jones.

What I'm getting at, is... *cough*, a reboot. Include more than just aliens - make the MiB a cover for all sorts of paranormal activity. I just looked at the wiki and there's a cool part about an agent ecks (X) who goes rogue after finding out the men in blacks true purpose... which is of course derived from the origins of the story. Think about it - before the movie came out the men in black were who? The Man. The red tape blinding your eyes. It's totalitarian. The men in black control and supress the truth, and I think that's an interesting thread to get at (for the next one if smith/jones are back, or for the second/third if we get a reboot)

I only saw a couple episodes of the cartoon back in the day, but I seem to remember them having the tone right. Dark but fun(ny).

God no. It's WAY too early for a reboot. Not to mention there's already enough going around.
