Micah's Return

I know some ppl are skeptical about the Rebel being Micah, if just for the fact that's an 11 or 12-year-old boy spearheading this huge thing. I still think it's a possibilty that it's him, but likely with some aid--maybe his Nana is helping out, offering some Angela Petrelli-like wisdom (wasn't it hinted that his Nana had a power as well?). Micah could be doing most of the leg work, so to speak, but following the guidance of someone else who's apparently more sage than he is.

whos to say hes spearheading some large operation? maybe he is completely alone. maybe be saw what nathan was doing to his aunt tracy and got pissed off, decided to help out his old friends. although i wouldn;t be opposed to him having help, it would make sense either way.

btw, isnt there a third sister out there somewhere? barbara i believe? maybe shes with him?

Well it's been argued that taking on the gov't is too big of an "operation" or scheme for a 12-year-old boy, which is why I supposed that he may be heading up a team of rebels--if immaturity alone prevents him from being a formidable foe, then maybe there's safety in numbers. He could, as you've said, be completely alone; I'm just making a point of consideration for all the nay-sayers out there who don't believe the Rebel could be Micah.

oh ok, i gotcha. and i agree. i'm just glad to see that he is making some sort of a comeback into the series. i wish they hadn't killed monica. micah needs a friend lol

I thought she made it out of the building? I need to rewatch some episodes--I forget.

I always thought Micah had one of the most useful and interesting powers. We haven't even seen half of what we think he can do. I'm really hoping it's him.

i hope she did, but im not too sure.

the potential for micahs ability is almost limitless, like almost magneto type potential. it all depends on how strong the writers/producers want to make him. can he make machines perform far beyond there basic functions? can he control a machine he cannot see? can he tell a gun not to fire? i cant wait to find out.

so what do we know about the other triplet beyond her name?

I don't think we know anything at this point...I could be wrong. I guess they could keep the Nikki/Jessica doppleganger going for as long as they want, if Ali Larter sticks around.

true true. i like ali larter as Tracy, wasnt so much a fan of nikki/jessika. my 2 fav female characters (elle and meridith) are dead though

I was sweet on Elle, just not with Sylar--maybe that's part of the fangirl talking. But she was a great character, and it's just too bad they couldn't take it any further. Meredith was another favorite of mine, although we didn't get confirmation of her death, I guess it can be assumed so. We need another strong, savvy female hero. Daphne is not cutting it for me.

i liked sylar better as a good guy truthfully. his "5 years gone" story made me happy that he was able to turn things around. hope it still works out that way.

Yeah I thought it was an interesting angle to see him as a decent human being. But even still, I don't feel he's completely without principle--morally misguided, yes, but there's still something in there that prevents him from going completely off the deep end. I like the idea of the conflicted hero/villain--to see him struggle with the concept of being a good person, while knowing he's done horrible things and may simply be a villain at heart.

No matter what people are saying, Sylar is still a great character imo. One of the best.

well he hasnt killed microwave boy yet, so theres a plus:woot:. btw, i didnt think they would be able to create a character with a gayer ability than ando..but sure enough, they make a character with "super lung capacity" haha:woot:

ahahah! Seriously...terrorist and danger to society because he can breathe under water?? Maybe in Atlantis but yeah...

Ando gaining a power had/has a ton of potential. There's the Suresh angle, where he who was once human is now superhuman. Maybe Ando can be wiser than Hiro and learn from his many mistakes. I do agree that, as a power, it's a less useful one on its own--you always need to buddy up with someone. But it will be interesting to see what happens when he does collaborate with other heroes--what can Matt do when his telepathy is amplified times 10?

what if he amps up suresh? will he "hulk out"??? will Tracy gain an ice form like bobby drake? haha perhaps Matt will lose his hair! im assuming theres a plan for ando...somehow his ability will be weaponized because they keep referencing him fighting hero in the future.

Maybe it's me, but somehow Ando doesn't seem as naive as Hiro...he's seen Hiro get fooled and screw up many times...so I'm wondering how and if Ando gets corrupted into using his ability for bad. Maybe it's really Hiro who becomes misguided and turns to the dark side--his constant search for honour and retribution maybe sends him over the edge, or someone exploits him...then Ando has to stop him somehow?

Seeing Ando use his ability on Tracy would be sweet indeed, there really are endless possibilities. What about on Claire??

if ando touched claire (there just friends! lol) it would probably make her completely indestructable. like superman/hancock level invulnerability. bullets bouncing off of her or trains smashing into her..which of course would make her feel even MORE alienated and depressed.

But I'm wonder how much more invulnerable she can get...she's basically indestructible other than the Achilles nape of her neck/back of the head. I see what you're saying tho...while she can take bullets now, maybe she would become more physically strong, like the Thing--cars would crumple hitting her, instead of the other way around.

They began to explore the idea of regeneration when she cut off her toe...let's explore that! Also, the idea of her blood healing and possibly reanimating people...they could go in a lot of directions with her character, they're just not doing it right now for whatever reason.

ok, after the "best suicide bomber" comment...i really want to see her walk into building with some c-4 strapped to her chest and blow some $h!t up. lol

Yeah she could definitely do some damage. Although I wonder if she would really die if she got decapitated, as in Angela's dream sequence....

....great posts, although we should prolly bring the convo back to Micah. Heh :D

last comment on claire...im pretty sure on that dream sequence that claires eyes were still open after the decapitation. maybe just my imagination.

ya back on topic. i really hope they make micah a super BAMF-ish character

Damn, definitely just lost everything I just wrote. Stupid browser.:cmad:

But yeah I suppose they could go that route with Micah, but I think it's more in his character to be more understated. As well, there is the 12-year-old kid angle--I wonder how he gets his lackies to do his bidding? Wonder how many people with crazy abilities would take orders from a kid...which is why I come back to my theory that Rebel could be several heroes banding together. Micah is just on the forefront doing his techno thing. But it's open for debate.

ya, theres nothing saying that micah is the leader. i dont really know what prompted people to say that. what characters havent really been used yet in this season? are all the rebels going to be new characters? SO MANY QUESTIONS!:oldrazz:

btw we OWN this thread. Ahahaha.

If Monica is alive i think she would definitely be a part of the resistence. Maybe some villains too...the Rebel did send Doyle to Claire, so maybe both heroes and villains realize they have a common enemy. My enemy's enemy is my friend, so to speak.

There's no reason to think that Monica is dead. Last we saw her, she was standing outside that exploding building with Micah.

exactly! ^^^ and its about time we got back to them!

im def. excited about that.

I can't remember Monica dying. I thought it was only Nikki/Jessica. Could be wrong tho.
