It looked and sounded like an interview with the makers of GINO.

1) hiding the characters before the movie release

2) emphasizing action over iconic characterizations

3) patronizing the fanbase

4) a completely dumb pointless popcorn movie that exploits the popularity of the franchise without paying tribute to what made it popular in the first place

Tom DeSanto should be the only one who speaks publicly about this movie. He answers questions in a very smart manner without belittling the source material. Everyone else likes to dodge questions and give reasons why G1 won't work onscreen. Is "boxy" the ONLY way he knows how to describe Transformers that aren't in his movie?

Pretty much. 2 things are in EVERY interview with Bay; the boxy comments/insults, and the robots transforming at 85 mph. Hope that shot looks friggin' bad ass, he sure is building it up to be the "money shot". t:

to much hate here going on. i jsut agree with him about the designes.
and i also saw comments here that the robot heads dont look human enough than dayss later some looks to much like a human.

this is a no win situation. it was teh same with singer. at least this movie has a bigger chance to make enough movie for a bigger sequel where they will change some things. SR is getting a smaller budget because htere was no action. IMO

When Michael Bay was hired noone was worried about lack of action but lack of substance. The drastic design changes were just icing on the cake...well...at least I didn't see it coming.
