Juno, Superbad and Barbie star Michael Cera is set to make his feature directorial debut with Love Is Not The Answer, we can reveal.

Cera, who also penned the script, is quietly assembling a stellar cast with Pamela Anderson, Steve Coogan, Fred Hechinger and Jamie Dornan aboard and others in talks to join.

Cera is teaming up with Past Lives and Babygirl outfit 2AM on the film, which is described as “a precise yet unpredictable, absurdist comedy that moves between hilarity and heartbreak as it explores modern loneliness and the search for connection”. More detailed plot is being kept under wraps.
