I love Tim Burton but I do agree that for the past 15 years he’s kinda just meandered on with his films. Although watchable and enjoyable, they are missing the unique spin & style he put in his films back in the 90s. And I’m saying this as someone that genuinely enjoyed Dumbo and Big Eyes

At this point, either coming back for Batman or Beetlejuice will be something that I feel can be very beneficial for him career wise

Aside from working with Keaton again, what would be the appeal for Burton to do a BEYOND movie? He's never struck me someone particularly interested in futuristic stuff.

You make a good point.

I'm just making the admittedly cynical case why he should do any Keaton Batman project, even if I wouldn't offer him the job. Unless he's retiring soon then none of what I said matters anyway.

It certainly wouldn't hurt him to do a Batman film.

Given that he's probably filmed all his footage for that movie, I don't see any reason for him not to be there.

I don't really want a radical revision or update. I'd like the sculpted look of the '89 suit, but with the Returns cowl atop it. That'd leave me a happy camper.

Somebody (I can't remember who) made an interesting point on another thread, that they don't want Keaton to have increased neck mobility; that they feel he actually used that restriction and his 'Bat-turn' to help his characterisation.

So what I wish for the suit, I want it to be the returns suit, primarily the cowl and chest plate, shoulders.... but a clean, more professional/updated material. like the bust below.


However, the whole body suit, I don't want it of the same material as below, I want a lot more cloth and light weight material...... at his age, it just won't work as before ...

So the gloves are the same, but a looser material under. And the legs, I want a looser material but with sewn on pads/shields so it looks the same, aesthetically...

Michael Keaton is in talks to return as Batman. (And by Batman, we also mean Bruce Wayne. Despite pesky rumors from certain corners, there is no Thomas Wayne in the script, sources tell us. Also: Keaton would appear in costume.)

I wonder how different the suit will look? I don't think it will be exactly like returns. I think it will change mostly for merchandising reasons.
