"The Weinstein Company is developing a TV series about the 1993 Branch Davidian siege in Waco, Texas, and has set Michael Shannon and Taylor Kitsch to star. Brothers John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle will write the series with the former directing.

Shannon will play lead FBI negotiator Gary Noesner, and Kitsch is set as David Koresh, notorious leader of the religious group that was holed up in their compound for nearly two months. The pair will executive produce along with the Dowdle brothers."

I'm really looking forward to this. :D

I have no clue. I'm not even sure I even get that channel, :p

I LOVE Michael Shannon. I think Taylor Kitsch is mostly awful but I did enjoy him in S2 of True Detective.

First ‘Waco’ Images Reveal Taylor Kitsch as Cult Leader David Koresh

I forgot about this! I'll definitely be watching, I love Michael Shannon.

Shannon has been consistently good in pretty much everything I've seen him in. :)

Also Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) is in it. She plays the wife of David Koresh.

Anybody watch this? First episode was tonight. :)

Dominic Patten of Deadline, basically says the series is a mess and could of done with more episodes.

Watched it today since it aired against American Crime Story. Pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but I liked it. I have to imagine that the production and quality might've been different were this on, say, HBO or FX versus Paramount. I enjoyed it, though. Kitsch does a good job at Koresh and there's enough commentary from his followers to convey that there's this aura around him that people have to see for themselves to believe.

Seeing the Ruby Ridge standoff felt like a precursor to what we know will come to pass with Koresh. And everyone in the supporting cast, whether it was Shannon, Benoist, Culkin, and Whigham was good as well. And as a big Boardwalk Empire fan in particular, it was nice to see Michael Shannon and Shea Whigham not just in the same program, but actually share a good amount of screen time together.

EDIT: Also, forgot about this. Since the series is about Koresh in particular, I was somewhat surprised to see that Taylor Kitsch didn't get top billing in the opening credits, but came after Michael Shannon. But at the same time, Shannon gets a good amount of screen time and his character appears just as vital to the series as Kitch's does.

Kitsch was surprisingly good in it. I like it so far.

lol'd at "I assume the burden of sex for everyone"

Taylor Kitsch did an excellent job in the first episode.

His dialogue, particularly the scenes where he is one on one with "recruits", were captivating due to script and Kitsch.

Can't wait to see more

I really liked it as far as beginnings go. Lots of familiar faces, great cast. :)

Poor Rory Culkin, gets married then the cult leader walks off with his wife on their wedding night.

John L's character is kind of a moron though, I found that a little distracting.

I dont know how any of the other men put up with not getting to have sex with their wives. :(
