Transformers Micheal Bay on Transformers (iesb)

When Was That Interview Taken?

posted only today, taken Last night at the premiere of Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The interviewer sounded a little meth'd up, but she is very hot and it doesn't matter. Right? right?

Good interview though. I for one did not want blocky robots, as I thought it would have looked silly. I have been ok/happy about most of the designs, cept Starscream. Glad to see that he is making a more realistic movie then a toy movie.

That bastard couldn't even wear a tie?? :cmad:

Great way to defend his molesting of their designs. "Oh you're a fan? Let me guess, you wanted big blocky things! Huge block... blocky.. things!!" :oldrazz:

Does he somehow come off as more regal or sophisticated by wearing a tie to a slasher film as opposed to not wearing one?

Hey, if you're going to go 75%, just go all the way dammit. :cmad:

Yeah, he was pretty quick to throw that out. He must be tired of getting cried at. :woot:

It was almost on par with Singer's defensive response to the "changing of the suit" during the SR press conference at last year's Comic Con.

I think I wanted to smack the reporter more than Bay.

It's funny how he thinks coming to Earth searching for a sentient-life creating object is more realistic than a spacefight gone bad with a crash-landing.

Yea, they were both (Bay & the reporter) were r-tards in their own special way :woot:

Micheal asked her (the reporter) a great question, "What do You want to see in Transformers?"

And she couldnt answer.......LOL.

Wow the best simple questions coming from the producer himself - and he waited patiently for a quality answer.

Cool little interview tho.... thanks for sharing the info.

Michael Bay - "we had to make it grounded all in reality"

Well, you heard it folks...his movie is going to be grounded all in reality...with millions of moving parts on a Transformer.

I agree with others when they say both Bay and the reporter where r-tards...she was making me grit my teeth pretty good near the end.

Ugh. I haven't even watched this yet. I'm tired of throwing up in my mouth. Plus, it feels like I've seen and heard all this before (*cough* Godzilla).

How metal speheres descending from the heavens in an "Invaders From Mars" or "ID4" style is more realistic than the ancient spaceship buried in the mountain is beyond me. Maybe it's more realistic in the average dolt's mind because the latter is a little more thought-provoking.

God forbid a Michael Bay movie be thought-provoking.

I really think that this movie is going to be heavily influenced by WotW. We'll see if this is going to be a Bay kissing Spielburg's heine type deal.

This interview makes Bay look like the George Bush of directors.

Girl: "It would be a treat if we could get Welker too."

Bay: "You're a Transformers fan?"

Girl: "Yeah."

Bay: "So you wanted the boxy designs back? 30-40 foot boxy thing up there?"

Odd that he just threw that out there like he did.

the tragic thing is whenever i see michael bay in interviews and events like this...i like him. he seems like a cool dude. sly bastard

Yeah... seemed condenscending. As if some middle ground couldn't be found that kept their designs and alt-modes somewhat faithful. VERY MUCH like Devlin and Emmerich's "this isn't a guy in rubber suit" quotes.

Notice what he said about talking to Spielberg "not making a toy movie" I bet Spielberg had a go at him for some of the designs. Some how Bay has convinced Steven the direction he wants it to go.

I think the interview would've been better if the interviewer asked some good questons, not lousy ones. And then Bay asks her what she want's to see, "Ummmm, I dunno, the transformers!"

LOL.

For real

(In Mr Garrison's voice) "Now can we get someone to interview Bay by someone who's not a complete ******?"
