So sudden and shocking...I'm at a loss for words. I always thought he would have been able to beat it with his optimism and positive attitude throughout his battle. I am saddend by the news, as Turner was one of the artists that kept my interest and now there won't be any new works produced

It is very sad, but it's not sudden. Turner had his first fight with cancer many years ago, during that time his comic "Fathom" disappeared from the shelves. He was from us way too soon, but I like to believe he is gone to a better place, hopefully somewhere where he will be surrounded by women who look like the characters he drew in life.

He really is a nice guy. He was very humble, and loved talking comics. The few times I met him, he had no problem signing stuff and just talking shop, and he was fun to play online with the one or two times he did.

RIP Michael, at least there's no more pain for you man.

Sad to see someone die so young, he's been suffering for a while I know but doesn't make it any less tragic. Was never a huge fan but my heart goes out to his relatives and friends.

This is very depressing. He was one of my favorite artists. He was still young, too.

I just looked at his wikipedia page. Man, it is a shame. I loved his work. And he was going to do art for the Ultimate Wolverine title.

I have no idea what he must have wnet through having cancer, but he put up a brave front. His fans will miss him immensely.
