Originally released in 1980 by Walt Disney Productions, the film gained a huge cult following on HBO and The Movie Channel. The movie is about a guy named Leon (Alan Solomon) and his lovely assistants Candy (Debi Richter{Hot Moves, Cyborg}) and Sunshine (Kristen Baker {Friday The 13th, Part 2}) who set out to find five people:

Adam (David Naughton {An American Werewolf In London, Makin' It and My Sister Sam})

Harold (Stephen Furst {National Lampoon's Animal House})

Wesley (Eddie Deezen {Grease, Dexter's Laboratory})

Donna (Maggie Roswell {The Simpsons})

Lavitus (Brad Wilkin)

to form teams and participate in his new scavenger hunt game, "The Great All-Nighter", where each team will receive a clue, which takes them to a certain location all over Los Angeles.

Adam's Yellow Team

Laura - Adam's love interest (Debra Clinger {The Krofft Supershow})

Marvin (David Damas {Good Times})

Flynch (Joel Kenney)

Scott - Adam's brother (Michael J. Fox {Family Ties, Back To The Future, Teen Wolf})

Harold's Blue Team

Lucille - Harold's girlfriend (Patricia Alice Albrecht)

Melio (Andy Tennant)

Blade (Sal Lopez)

Barf (Brian Frishman)

Wesley's White Team

Debater #1 (Marvin Katzoff)

Debater #2 (Christopher Sands)

If anybody has fond memories of Midnight Madness, come share your comments.

I have to say that this is an amazing film. Seriously underrated.

I first heard of this film on Spill.com on one of their podcasts. They said it was really funny and almost unreal of a film because it's a raunchy teen comedy produced by Disney.

That and I love the late 70's - early 80's era for some odd reason.

I first saw the film in 1986 on the Movie Channel and I had searched for it since. I had it on DVD a couple of years back, now I want another copy of it real bad.

One of my all time favorites with a young Mike J Fox!

I loved this movie when I was a kid! It was on HBO all the time. It still think of it every time I hear Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Diablo Cody interviews MM director David Wechter, Alan Solomon (Leon) and Eddie Deezen (Wesley).
