So, apocalypse finds storm in the streets of cairo it seems.

Behold Me: We've wasted enough of everybody's time. Talk to me again when...nah, never mind, just don't talk to me.

Anyway: was Storm ever a Horseman in the comics? If not, how do Storm fans feel about her being reintroduced to the general audience this way?

I think it's interesting it's great way to show some character development.

Yeah, we knew nothing of storm in the ot. So It's nice to see they're trying to make up for that.

It works for me since it makes story sense. They're both in Cairo. And it seems like they're replacing the Shadow King with Apocalypse in Storm's story.

Do not come for me, that was very unnecessary, keep it cute.

Lol who knows? I thought it would be long this one.

I think having Storm start out as an antagonist was a bold choice. Not only will we get to explore a different side of her, but the repercussions of that are bound to be felt in the next film.

Agreed, like she'll have to earn her trust with the x-men. I'm excited.

Happy 24th birthday Alex!

Queen. :storm

Oh WOW.

Now why didn't halle ever look that fierce? Can't be singers direction since he's directing this too. Lack of commitment maybe?

Home girl is C O M M I T T E D.

Lol. It;s ok. Here's my response.

But i'm not female.

I hope Celine Dion gets to sing the x-men apocalypse soundtrack.

I really wish you would cease posting about Celine Dion's ass in here. She will not be singing about the X-Men. :whatever:

To those who are saying Alexandra doesn't look "Black enough": In my opinion, it's a ridiculous statement since people of color are called that for just that reason--we come in various shades of color.

As a biracial man, I am Alexandra's complexion but my facial features--like hers--make it unmistakable that I have black heritage running in my veins along with my white ancestry. In my opinion, Alexandra actually looks more African American than Halle Berry does, as the latter has more fine, European features. Alex however, has the full lips, exotic eyes and high cheekbones that truly speak to her African American roots.

Agreed. Look at her eyes in that pic! She is throwing so much shade that I'm gonna have to close the damn blinds.

But they need to give her some earrings. I know Louise Mingenbach is not big on making her actresses look feminine, but damn, give the girl some jewelry instead of those bare ears. I'm liking the catwoman eye shadowing though. We're in business. :oldrazz:

As someone who is dark skinned and is still waiting for proper representation of the African goddess Storm, I find issue with Shipp's casting.

But Shipp isn't the main problem. Hollywood is. Throughout film history the lighter skinned black actresses landed the better leading roles. I'm tired of it honestly.

But as I mentioned in another thread, I understand Shipp was cast because her skin tone matches Berry's.

Here's hoping Storm and other characters are done justice should another reboot occur.
