Mira Sorvino & Ving Rhames to star in "Day Of The Dead Remake".

After watching the Dawn Of The Dead remake, I hope this one turns out just as good, but I hope they scale back on the running zombies some & have them look more rotten & decayed.

The folks over at Bloody-Disgusting have received word from "a very reliable source" of some casting info for the upcoming remake of George Romero's DAY OF THE DEAD (my fave of the four, btw). It looks like both Ving (DAWN OF THE DEAD, 2004) Rhames and Mira (MIMIC) Sorvino.

Whether this remake will mirror the underground military bunker story line of the original film or the original script idea that Romero had written remains to be seen. I won't even speculate whether Rhames is playing the same character (Kenneth) as he did in the DOTD remake.

But, no matter how you slice it... Mira Sorvino is damn fine.

I'm already gonna love this movie. But then again I'm biased towards horror movies with zombies.

I thought DotD sucked as a remake but it was a great reimagination of it. I love the movie.

I was just saying if he plays a different character it would probably be his brother; And since it's the same actor, it would be a twin brother.

If they follow the story from the original Day and the characters from Dawn(remake), maybe they'll have the base on the island they escape to.

you know what, i was watching the DOTD remake today, and i had an interesting idea:

when the original DOTD came out in italy, it was re-named Zombi. then, when Lucio Fulci came out with his zombie/horror film (which in america was named simply Zombie), in italy it was called Zombi 2, despite the fact that there was no connection between fulci's film and romero's film. but, fulci's film DOES take place on an island where a scientist who was trying to find a cure for something, accidentally created a formula that killed people who would then come back to life as zombies. now, the DOTD remake ends with them on an island. so, i thought it'd be cool if the Day of the Dead remake was actually a remake of the lucio fulci film, Zombie (aka Zombi 2).

Well Rob Zombie is directing the next Halloween movie. I think Zombie will stray away from a twin sister story, so I'm pretty sure we're safe.

I've actually never seen the Lucio Fulci film. I can never find it.

i hated HOTC..... the sequel was SOOOOO much better.

he obviously found out how to really direct!.... in two movies hes already been more successful than uwe boll .


i trust him with halloween because hes the biggest horror fan ever and wouldnt allow for it to blow again.
