So what actors/actresses do you feel were the most mis-cast in CBMs?

I'll start:

Matthew Goode as Ozymandius in Watchmen. I've actually seem him in other movies (thought he was good in the rom-com Leap Year) but he's awful in Watchmen. IMO, of course

Please give your opinions!

January Jones as Emma Frost in Xmen First Class was a mistake in my opinion.

The very worst is Stallone as Judge Dredd.

Not a bad performance by any means but Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow. Scarecrow isn't supposed to be a decent looking 30 something. So, they got that all wrong. Just going with an outside the box choice.

I agree with Jones, but I think that Stallone was a great casting for Dredd.

The writing for that version was horrible though.

Sally Field as Aunt May. I'm sorry, but Aunt May is supposed to be old and feeble. That's basically her one defining characteristic and they couldn't even get that right.

Her version is based on Ultimate... She's younger...

Toby Maguire for Spiderman, he ended up doing a good job but i don't get why they didn't think of Topher Grace when they casted Spidey.

J Lawrence as Mystique and Halle Berry as Storm. She looks the part but she wasn't really storm in that movie, very underdeveloped character.

Dunst as Mary Jane. They couldn't even get that right.

Agreed, the writing didnt help but she didnt really own it.

I liked Matthew Goode as Ozymandius.

whoever that teenage chick was that played Mystique in FC.
Also, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Ioan Gruffud as Reed Richards and Jessica Alba as Sue Storm

Halle Berry as Storm. Admittedly her role isn't the best written in the X-Men movies but that doesn't change the fact there are far better choices for her role and I don't think her performance in the role is that good.

I'm not totally sold on Renner as Hawkeye or SJ as Blackwidow yet.

Seth Rogen as Green Hornet. The movie became "Seth Rogen"

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine - Too tall! Glenn Danzig would be better.

Heath Ledger as The Joker - The guy from Brokeback Mountain as The Joker? WTF!

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man - Guy is a junkie, he has no business playing Iron Man!

Chris Hemsworth as Thor. I mean, he seems like a pretty nice guy and he does look the part... but that's about it. He's just a bad actor with zero carisma. Biggest miscast EVAH!

Oh, and Schwarzenegger as Freeze. Highly entertaining, but still miscast.

goode as ozy while he still gave very good performance he was nothing like ozy imo someone like aaron eckhart would of fit ozy way better

adrien vedt to me always looked like an older version of captain america goode came across too obviously villainous

Matthew Goode on Watchmen

Did you feel a bit of a fraud being cast as the cleverest man in the world in Watchmen?
There were many reasons I shouldn’t have been cast in that film and I think people were quite p***ed off. I’m lucky I don’t own a computer.

Really? No, I don’t have one. But trust me, the negative feedback was relayed quite well by friends of mine: ‘Oh my God, everyone hates you, man. It’s awesome.’ When I got there to start filming, all the artwork still had Jude Law ’s face on it so I figured he was meant to be doing this but was too expensive. That was good for me.

"I wasn't convinced that I was the right choice to play him. And there were a couple of remarks I made in a very off-hand, facetious, jokey way, 'What if the fanboys don't like you?' 'Well, they can all line up and ...,' you know. I think we know that quote. I love literature and when I see things made into films, I worry about the casting, too. I think the fact that I was the only one out of all of the characters that Zack Snyder thought outside-the-box for: he cast it younger and different. Everyone else was pretty much bang-on -- and age bang-on as well. I was too skinny, I was 20 years ... whatever. So, that led me to kind of over-think it in some ways and give myself more of a backstory. I don't know. I think the film will age well."

Just plain wrong:

Scarlett Johansen as Black Widow - not Russian and too volumptuous

Liv Tyler as a Betty Brant - duller than dishwater

Clark whatever as his Shield Agent

Jennifer Garner as Elektra

Not really but kinda:

Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom - he was okay his character was just written wrong

Chris Evans as Steve Rogers - does a god job (in TFA) but i don't see Cap when i see him

Halle Berry as Storm

Ben Afleck as Daredevil

Excellent Casting:

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
RDJ as Tony Stark
Sam Elliot as Thunderbolt Ross
Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler
Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier
Kevin Durand as Blob

Serious?

Tobey Maguire was kinda miscast, kinda. He was a great 616 Peter Parker in SM1 but in SM2 and SM3 he kinda stayed as pre-bite Peter. He did not have the witt and charm of Peter in his collage years. That might have been a script thing though.

She has the overt Eastern European features to pass off being Russian. But I agree about her not being all that athletic. She didn't convince as an ass kicker in either Iron man 2 or Avengers.
