I just watched the Street Fighter teaser and full trailer on DVD (hey, it has a lot of extras.) It leads you to believe the movie will be great, which of course wasn't the case.

Anyone else can name a trailer that does this?

The Black Dahlia looked like a masterpiece from the trailers. It turned out to be an entertaining but overall disappointing viewing experience.

The Prestige.
From the trailer, you got the idea that Borden was a real sorcerer. But it turns out that Angier character was the one who ended up delving into the supernatural, and Borden's trick was in fact incredibly simple in nature. But then, that's kind of part of the apeal of the movie, since the film itself is a sort of magic act.

I appreciate the fact that people are using spoilers about this movie... I haven't seen it yet but I don't want it ruined for me :p

A Troma movie called Surf Nazis Must Die. The trailer makes it look like a ridiculous action movie but it isn't.

I completely agree with this one. I was pretty dissapointed when I finally watched it. I was expecting Toxic Avenger mixed with some good ole' 80s action fare.

X-men 3
The trailers make it look great. Then you see the movie and realize that trailers showed the entire film.

The superman returns teaser trailer. I have never been a fan of supes, but when I was that teaser premiere after smallville I was pumped. It had that great music and imagery. Then I actually saw it................

M Night's trailer for The Village made the movie look like a horror movie, and I was surprised to see that it wasn't. It was more...suspence, I guess.

However, I still love that movie, and I know that I'm in the minority.

It's not a bad film. I like it, don't love it, but it's watchable. It has a great score, which helps the film.

X3. :csad:

God, he had one of the moneyshots in the entire trailer, and he ended up getting less than 4 minutes of screentime... :(

You're right Speedball, it has a fantastic score.

I remember that scene right at the end. When Ivy arrives and the music begins. It didn't have a bad ending, but it was very predictable, which is probably why people don't like it.

I thought it looked like balxploitation with surfing. I still liked the movie pretty well but it wasn't what I expected.

- X3. (Announcement/Trailer)
- Blade: Trinity. (Teaser/Trailer)

And little else. Seriously I disagree with the great music comment, outside of the rehashed Williams score there wasn't much great music to be found.
