It is kind of weird that they could make everyone's schedules line-up EXCEPT for Paula's. I would think that Renner and Pegg would have far busier schedules, given that their bigger stars than her right now.

And, while I personally believe McQuarrie's explanation, from an aesthetic standpoint it doesn't help the notion that some people have that this franchise sees it's female characters as interchangeable. "We can get everyone back, except for the lone female on the team, but we'll just swap her out with a new one." Heck GP kind of did that with Maggie Q as well.

Hopefully both of them are back in MI6 (no not THAT MI6, the film MI6).

The team has fluctuated across the 5 movies bar Ethan and Luther, the interesting thing is that except for Mi:II none of them have been used as Bond girls so to speak.

The team has always been interchangeable. Both the male and female characters have changed. Cruise is the only male character that has appeared in all 5 films so people having a problem with this are once again looking for a problem where there isnt one.

Ving has been in them all, although his part in Ghost Protocol was basically a cameo.

They killed Hun't entire team in the first movie. No one is safe from the chop except Cruise. There was even talk of Renner possibly carrying on the franchise if Cruise leaves it last time round.

I think everyone would of liked to see Maggie Q and Patton return.

Biggest point to remember here. Re: interchanging women in the last few films, McQuarrie's excuse is all PR/politics. This is all up to Cruise -- if he wanted Maggie Q or Patton in another film, he would have made it so.

Just got back from Terminator in IMAX 3D, only chose this format because of the Rogue Nation preview and HOLY S**T was that an awesome scene they showed! It showed a portion of a car chase scene with Ethan and Benji trying to lose bikers with Luther and Brandt trying to catch up them. Then it transitioned to an AMAZING bike chase scene, the speeds of this sequence were unreal and they even had a couple first-person shots and full shots of Tom riding a bike. It looks like it will be incredible. Can't wait.

Considering how great the chase in Jack Reacher was i'm not shocked by this at all and can't wait to see it!
