But I'll stop being a jerk. I just questioned why you came back if the Hype! doesn't matter at all to you.

Good day. :thing:

? There was no reason to take it down in the first place, thats all I said. People kept wanting it PMed to them so I just posted it again instead of having to do that every time. I don't see how thats being idiotic, but whatever. I think one of the mods screwed up. I was on probation and then banned, so I am not sure what happened there.

So any more personal play experiences you'd guys like to share? I've already read IGN's review, but professional critics are often too harsh. I want some average-Joe opinions.

Im 6 games into my season and i truely love this game. All the problems they listed, are a rare occurance. The one thing that i do notice often are the player models will go through each other. This game is mad fun tho.

So can you change the hitting and pitching controls in this?

And for the record I cant stand Hawk.

Pitching can either be pinpoint (you put the icon where you want the pitch to go) or breakpoint (put the icon where you want the pitch to break to). Hitting can be "classic" (hitting A/X to swing) or "swing stick" (pull back on the right analog, release to hit; release and hit forward to power swing).

I skimmed IGN's review now and caught this:

"However, just like last year, there are still some athletes, like David Wright, who have a generic appearance. Some of the faces look like they've melted in the sun or have been fused into an amorphous blob. For example, Paul Lo Duca looks like the Phantom of the Opera."

As someone who has watched them in countless games, I can confirm their video game counterparts look very much like real life. Obviously, they are not perfect but it's the best I've ever seen.

One thing that I hope they fix with a patch is that nearly EVERY homerun is robbed by the AI OF.

Once I've fattened up my bank account enough (probably by mid-May or June), I'll probably buy a 360 with this game. From what you guys are saying, I won't be disappointed.

I didn't like the new pitching view, because it was too dififcult to aim the breaking point from an angle.

After I switched it back to classic behing the catcher view, the game has my full attention.

I've been robbed of two hr's in three games in franchise.....freaking indians.

Im eight games into my season, and I've already had six home runs robbed, it seems like this is going to be a fairly normal occurrance..

One other problem, is the collission detection, I noticed on a play at the plate where my runner collided with the catcher, and when they roll back the replay, you can clearly see that the catcher was nowhere near my runner, and yet, both of them go flying back by some invisible force field.

Still, the graphics are A+, and the game is very addictive. Thumbs up, despite a few hitches.

Just curious, what parks have you had home runs robbed? Also, do you pull the ball to the RF or LF or do you have it go to dead CF?

Alex Rios has robbed, like, 3 home-runs in two games I've played so far in my season against the Blue Jays.

I'm the Tigers, 2-0. :word:

I still have yet to be robbed by the AI. I had a member of the Atlanta Braves get a glove on one, but his sorry ass couldnt pull it down and over the wall it went for a 2 shot home run. Im still loving the game.

Spidey, I've played 6 season opening games with the White Sox at US Cellular Field, and 2 road games at Oakland's Coliseum. Ive noticed that all of my home runs thus far this season have come on drives to right field, whether its with a lefty hitter like Thome, or righties like Konerko and Crede. Im beggining to wonder if I will ever hit a long ball straight away or to left field.

I had 4 home runs robbed to right field at US Cell, and two robbed in Oakland (also to right field).

It's probably your timing on the swing that makes it pull to right field.

Yeah, it's just your timing. Keep playing, and you'll get it.

There's still an option to hit with A/X, right? I prefer that to the swing-stick option.

Yeah, it's under Classic Controls I believe, when you go to game options.

I'm not used to the Swing Stick, so I'm sticking with Classic.

I've hit homers to left with Kong at the Cell and right w/JD.

Damnit, Nate Robertson tore his rotator cuff in my game :csad: out 64 days! :cmad:
