This was specifically inspired by IOS7 integrating a gamepad API, meaning apps with gamepad support can now support any gamepad designed for IOS devices. This combined with an Apple TV and Airplay is very exciting as it makes for a mini-console.

There are plenty of ports for great games that suffered from touch controls. If they're updated to support that's a big plus. And while this can fix a lot of games already available, this could start a new developer push for more hardcore games on the App Store. The future is looking bright.
