Molly Sims will star in Velveteen Films' independent drama Hickory Nation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Written and directed by Velveteen's Rebecca Cook, the film revolves around a small Maine coastal community dealing with the aftermath of a mysterious hit-and-run accident. The event brings together a teacher and her two students, each struggling with secrets and lies.

Sims ("Las Vegas") plays a teacher in the town who lost her daughter. Aimee Teegarden ("Friday Night Lights") plays a local beauty queen who is one of her students. Filming begins this summer.

Sounds decent, I like these little films with a simple setting.

Kind of made me think of The Man Without a Face. Should have some great shots of Maine. *sigh* I must return there.
