While surfing the net I found this sample on Hans Zimmer's site. It seems to be an alternate/orchestral version of the Molossus track from the BB score.
This is the first I've heard of this so I was wondering if anyone one else has heard this, or the full track itself?

nice find... it has a bit of a military feel to it IMO...

Wow. I really like that. I wish there was a full track available. I like that even more than the actual possibly.

Same here.

After some more surfing I've found out that the track is apparently an "iTunes Exclusive". However, I myself don't have iTunes so I was wondering if there is anybody else who could check this out?...

Maybe it serves as a hint of what's to become of the score in the sequels. Zimmer did say that Batman hasn't earned the real theme yet.

BUMP.......Someone with itunes please download the full version and share it with the rest of humanity:)

Yes I want to hear this ASAP. I heard of some guy from Texas re-orchestrating the Begins score for Wind Ensemble. Cant wait to see if this is true and if it will be performed by the Dallas Wind Symphony.

Judging by that snippet and the snippet on iTunes, I'm very unimpressed. It lacks what little impact that the electronics-enhanced score had.

Well thats simply becuase you have bad taste is classical music. You really have no idea what you're listening to, just like when you would look at a pianting from Monet you would probably have no idea at what was going on.

Nice. My only complaint is that they were a little too light on the percussion. I think it would've had more feeling if there were some bass drums behind it driving it forward.

I like this version of "Molossus" much better than what it was in the CD.

nice, i have to say i prefer the album version more though, it seems faster and fits the scene better.

I found the track on iTunes, purchased it, and now I'll try and upload it.

:whatever:

Thank you for that "insight." Anyone with any education in the field of classical music would criticize this piece intensely, and then disassemble the entire score from BEGINS. Not to mention, this version of "Molossus" sounds thin, lacking a full orchestral sound and a driving percussion. It doesn't have any "oompf." If they wanted to transfer it to normal orchestra, they needed to change the orchestrations more than they did.

Furthermore, Zimmer's score for BEGINS isn't "classical music."

OK......Did someone manage to download the whole file, if so please share?

How long did it take you to think of this? Lol and No the score is more Classical/Electronica.

i really like it. i can picture the beginning of that playing faintly as batman looks down on the city. cool stuff.
