What are some things you buy that you know are pretty much a waste of money, but you just can't help but by anyway?

Some of the food (junk food) I buy is a huge waste and the single issue comics I buy monthly are not a waste exactly but I could buy them as trades online or even at my local shop still for much cheaper.

I eat out more than I should. When you're as poor as I am, eating out at all tends to be ill-advised. Especially in Hawaii.

I look back at the money I wasted buying Marvel Legends and statues and other comic book related items and I feel like I wasted my money.

I feel the same way about most collectibles. Most of my transformers were bought before college, and many before high school, so that I don't feel so bad about considering I was a kid, and really only bought characters I liked but never owned since then (or replaced ones I broke as a child). Also, I still sort of have a soft spot for them. However I think I spent too long collecting comics.

Video Games...especially Monster Hunter. Heck, I'm buying a completely new game system for a Monster Hunter game when I get my taxes back.

Probably all the Hot Toys figures I have purchased over the last 2 years or so.

In my case, collectibles, video games, eating out, dvds/blu rays.

Too ... many ... action figures.

Too ... many ... Ikea shelves ... to display them on. :(

Eating out and Cigarettes.

13 dollars for 10 packs of smokes is pretty damn cheap, but even if it was 1 cent, it's still a waste of money.

Damn shame I smoke a pack a day too :(

Fast Food
Soda
Video Games
My website

Most movies to buy are a waste, ask yourself, how many times am i really going to watch this?

Eating out is a waste but I don't like cooking.

Statues look great but you don't get anything out of it, they just sit there and look cool...there goes $200+ sitting on the shelf!

I don't buy movies anymore. I download them illegally and put them on an external hard drive.

Buying movies instead of renting. I did much better last year though.

Drinks at a gas station. Pay $1.67-1.89 each for 20oz drink when can get a 6 pack of same product for under $4

and honestly I go to a strip club with friends about 4 times a year and that's a waste of money. The most fun thing about going is the ride there and ride back, just getting to catch up with my friends.

I never feel bad about wasting what money I have. I love having dvd's. Muahahahahahahahahaha. -_- cause, ya know, I'm forever alone and dvd's and blu rays to me are like shoes for women. I'm not even joking...I always window shop at walmart at the dvd and blu-ray area.

Music...sigh...I keep thinking "It's only $10!!" and I just keep buying them...before you know it i've bought $100 worth of music in just under 2 weeks. :)

I was this way. I still buy quite a few but I just have more selective now. Use to I'd buy anything that was a good price. Now I'll only buy something if it's first week release or something I'll rewatch. Other than Christmas themed movies I haven't touched my DVD section in a year. My TV sets and blu-rays get watched often. Just 2002 DarbyD53 loved Saving Silverman, but 2013 DarbyD53 will never watch it again.

Fast food definitely.

If I can cut that out, i'd be eating healthier and saving money.

For me, I would have to say Heroclix. I've been collecting heroclix since 2004 and I'll continue to get them (bought a few earlier today), the only thing that makes them somewhat of a waste is that Heroclix is a game and there's no where I can go to play the game; so I just continue to collect until the day I find somewhere to play and I'll be prepared.

Fast food definitely.

The only thing about that is, sometimes healthier foods can cost more than fast food.

It depends. I mean more like where I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner but I just needed that large pizza to top it off kind of fashion.

Blu ray's. I buy waaayyyy too many blu ray's. Also, fast food and soda. Too much of that

Magazines for me.

I have dozens (most definitely hundreds by now) of magazines I've bought over the years and I just end up running out of room for them. It's like 'Wtf am I supposed to do with all these? I don't wanna throw them away but I'll most likely never browse half of them ever again.'
