When I turn on my computer the screen is black, the light is orange.
It goes green but it blinks with no picture. I have to blindly navigate into windows typing my password and what not. When it you can you the "da de da de...deee deee" start up music. Nothing. After a few times of restarting and changing the cable ports around (the graphics card has two) when logging it sits blank for a few minutes with the green light blinking and then wala, we have a picture.

Any idea what doing this?
Didn't change any drivers or anything and it didn't start doing this during a restart, I left my computer on over-night with the monitor off, came back, and no screen.

Is it possible to borrow someone's monitor, hook it up and see if it does the same thing?

That's a possibility, but at least you'll totally rule out a monitor problem....

Well if it were a driver problem you would still be able to see the computer boot into windows because up until that point its all integrated into the motherboard , its either your cable or monitor try a new cable

try getting a new cable.... you may have a short in your current one

When you turn the computer on, can you see the BIOS screen?

Right now based off what you've said and the opinions of others here, the following are likely culprits:

Bad Monitor
Bad Cables
Bad Connection (one or both ports on graphics card)

I doubt it's a software issue from what you've described. But I've often learned client description can often be misleading.

Test with a different monitor.

If problem persists, test with different cables.

Test with different monitor and cables.

Test your monitor on another computer, test your monitor and cables on another computer.

Depending the results, you may have your answer.
