The costume is incredible, it would look even greater if who ever is the model wearing it hit the weight room a liitle more.

Ok, I guess I didn't explain my answer fully. He's a good actor who can play a disturbed person quite well. As for his build, I don't think it's much of an issue since he can bulk up. Besides, how tall is Moon Knight supposed to be? Height nor weight never really transfers accurately to film anyways. Also, I'd rather have him (since he's a decent actor imho) than Vin Diesel any day. No offense to Vin fans.

 

What about Jim Caviezel?

 

I know he is getting older, but I always thought Mel Gibson would play an excellent Marc Spector and I think Jean Reno would be awesome as Frenchie. I always remembered when I had my first vision of Moon Knight on the big screen was in Stargate the movie. When Ra sends his ships out to attack the people you see these 2 ships launch out of the pyramid and they look like the crescent/scarab shaped Moon Copter and the later jet type flyer Marc had. As soon as I saw that I was like wow so that's what the Moon ship would look like in a Moon Knight movie.

That's a great idea Peyton!! Have Moon Knight appear in Blade 3 and at the alternate ending were Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds are fighting the Werewolves in the bar Moon Knight shows up to lend a hand. You see Ryan reynolds and Jessica Beil being surrounded by werewolves. It looks like it's a no win situation for the two and then close up Ryan and you see him smirk and behind the werewolves is Moon Knight and the battle starts. Paving the way for the Moon Knight solo movie.

The large difference between Batman and Moon Knight is their motivation for what they choose to do. Batman is motivated by anger and revenge stemming from the murder of his parents. Moon Knight is motivated by the guilt stemming from the disassociation from his father and his life as a mercenary. He is trying to redeem himself. I don't feel Marc really ever intended to become a mercenary. I think it was just a natural flow starting from the choice to leave home and join the Marines. It was an escape for him, someplace to channel the resentment he was feeling. Leaving the military after 8 years, I assume being fed up with taking orders and red tape, he became bored and his military connections led him to become a liason for the CIA. After partaking in that for some period of time, he again became frustrated with the red tape and disagreement with what he was doing. His next natural step was to become a mercenary, getting around all of that red tape and quagmire filled with the motivations of others. He was finally free to exercise his beliefs and natural abilities. After a while he began to see that everything was not black and white, realizing that innocent people were being killed he finally reached a point where enough was enough. His boss, Bushman, was using him for his personal gain, similar to his past experiences in the military and CIA, and now innocent people were losing their lives as well. His transformation into Moon Knight was a second chance on life, to do what he knows and feels is right. To stop those whom he had worked for whose motivations were nothing more than the molding and manipulation of others and everything for their own personal gain. Throughout all of this Marc Spector became ashamed of himself and what he has partaken in. Even though he has a second chance in life he feels others would never forgive him for his past. The result is Marc's creation of the other personas, trying to deny his life as Marc Spector and gain acceptance of others by creating personas of how he would truly choose to be and how he would like others to see and accept him. All in all, Moon Knight is a tough cookie, as is Batman, and they do share a similar style of costume, however the similarities stop there. On the inside is a totally different reality.

I knew MoonKnight had potential when I started this thread (under a diff username) Now that I read Marvel Knights I feel Spector got misrepresented. He isnt the type to walk away from a team because of an injury. If I had it my way I'd like to see MN appear in a Blade 4 movie, done with the same people on Blade1.

 

MWOF...your insight into the possible shaping of Moon Knight's persona is well done. So good in fact, it should be used as a basis for the character if it gets developed into a screenplay.

Now who should direct and write it? For some reason Heinsleigh comes to mind....

 

He'd be a good choice. I'd steer clear of Goyer only because he has done too much for Marvel, is like he's re-writing his own Marvel universe.

 

I was thinking of Tony Scott, he was up for writing and directing Daredevil and lost out to Mark Steven Johnson to me was a big mistake. His proposal on DD included Stick and was more true to the comics. If you see Tony Scott's movies DD would have rocked. Check out Man on Fire with Denzel Washington. I think he would have been perfect on DD and I feel he would be perfect on Moon Knight.

Never knew Scott lost out to MSJ. Its a shame because of his older brother Ridley, he doesnt get the recognition he deserves. But with some good films in his stable ( Top Gun,True Romance,Crimson Tide, & Man on Fire) I think he should of got the nod over MSJ for DD.

Moon Knight having his own movie would be a dream come true for me. MK is one of Marvel's best characters, he's a legend in my eyes, and many others as well.

But, it seems to me that Marvel is more interested in making the more important characters than MK, characters that are more known to the comic world that many say should come first. So I'm not expecting a Moon Knight movie anytime soon... But then again, I have hope that one day soon they will make MK's movie, and make it right.

 

I soo wanna see Stephen Norrington direct this film! Imagine MoonKnight looking like the Blade 1 film.

 

The psychic from Weekly World News predicted that they'd make a Moon Knight movie with Matt Damon, and that it would bomb so horribly that he'd never work again.
