I have been hearing more about this show lately and it looks pretty solid. Love the angsty vampire story. Kinda that supernatural drama feel. And Alex O'Laughlin was awesome on The Shield, glad to see he has his own show.

I might check it out, mainly because I like the actors from other shows. Alex was really good in the Sheild and it's got Logan from Veronica Mars, gotta support the Veronica alums. The premise still feels too much like a Forever Knight/Angel rip-off though.

I have a feeling this is going to be a hilariously bad rip-off of Angel.

Oh yea, besides O'Laughlin, Dohring was great on Veronica Mars. I feel like people will always draw comparisons when it comes to these supernatural or vampire shows, but I am giving it the benefit of the doubt here, especially with these actors who signed on.

i think i'll give it a try

Of course I'll give this a try.
I'm all for supernatural, vampire shows. Since it's CBS, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully, this comes on a Tuesday (before 10) or Wednesday (boring as hell) night.

It comes on Friday Night.

Who watched it tonight?

It was pretty good. It also introduces vampires that are able to walk in daylight, hence who can hide in our society better. The daylight doesn't make them burst into flames, but does slowly affect them, making them feel sicker the longer they are exposed to it.

i taped it i'll watch it later after football

it has a "forever knight" feel to it....well cept for the whole sunlight deal

I have a feeling this isn't a show that will last, and I'm not too sad about that. The pilot was incredibly cliché, even if I did like the main character.

I liked it but then again, I have a vagina. I can't see why a guy would watch this show. Curious enough to watch the first couple of episodes maybe (so Harl won't be mad at me) but sustained interest? I don't think so.

This show looks like a s*** sandwich.

First off: Those weren't Emo kids at that Funeral. Those were Goths kids. That pissed me off right there.

I also had to watch the first season of Angel to get the taste of this craptastic show out my mouth. So the idea of an original Vampire show is to throw pretty much all the old rules out, & keep some?:whatever:

I like how, in the comercials for this show, they said "only in L.A. can a vampire be a good guy." Get it? It's a reference to Angel. You know, the show they're ripping off.

Saw the premiere. Piece of garbage. Vampires now can't be killed by stake or daylight or hurt with crosses? Boy they sure took the suspense out of it didn't they? Boring.

In Supernatural, daylight weakens them but doesn't kill them and the stakes don't do it either. They're only killed by a weapon dipped in dead man's blood.

boooooring....

Cancelled...well, not yet, but its only a matter of time. Along with Cavemen.

Wow. I didn't think it was that bad. Then again, I was never a big fan of Buffy and Angel, so maybe I just don't have that bias. Loved Blade the Series though.

I liked the first three seasons of Buffy, was never an Angel fan, so there is no bias here....it was just boring.

Maybe the bias is mine, as it was recorded up against "Flash Gordon". I actually have to FORCE myself to watch that one, so that the recording isn't wasted. I haven't watched this week's episode, and last week's is still sitting in the DVR, half-watched. :o

hmmm...a show about a vampire private detective in LA who goes around helping people who cant help themselves...that sounds...familiar...oh wait, I remember, that's the exact same show as Angel...Joss Whedon should sue these rip off artist idiots.
