Mortal Kombat X

Yeah, there's Johnny Cage cocky.. And then there's "wow this guys a complete ****" cocky. Too bad his head wasn't ripped off half way through the campaign.

Jason is coming out May 5th and there's going to be a Kombat Kast showcasing him for the first time on May 4th.

Nice. Looking forward to it. I'm assuming he's gonna be a brawler type. I hope his different styles have different film looks for him. I just want Kane Hodder Jason please.

Agreed. The attitude kills it the most for me.

his attitue makes him interesting. I think the flashback we got helped flesh him out a little bit and made him more endearing. I think the attitude is there to compensate for the massive legacy he has to live up to and its more of a front if anything

Still a *****ty *****e attitude that could have gotten himself and his team mates killed more than once.Should have respected Cassie as team captain

Kung Jin is one of the stronger characters in the campaign, in my opinion. I mean, it's Mortal Kombat--the bar isn't very high, but in a game that did a pretty good job of portraying almost everyone in an interesting way, Jin came out really well.

any tips on defeating [BLACKOUT]Shinnok[/BLACKOUT] in story mode with [BLACKOUT]Cassie[/BLACKOUT] ? All the guy has to do is look at me and Im dead

I knew those dates from before that were given for the DLC characters couldn't be right. Because those were all Sundays. With the exception of NOA, no company ever releases something on a Sunday.

I just beat the game and I know the ending has been highly criticized but I see nothing wrong with it. In fact, I loved it. Great teaser for the next game. [BLACKOUT]Cassie though being the one to takedown Shinnok was BS. She's a newbie and its hard to beleive she could defeat an elder god on her own without any help.[/BLACKOUT]

^That's how most fictional stories do it though. To show they have potential.

I remember when Boon said in an interview how he had no idea where to go with the story of the 11th game.

Eh.. Luke vs Vader kind of thing. If it wasn't her then Takeda but she IS the daughter of the champion.

I'm wondering if the story DLC he hinted at could continue after the end.

Most stories find a way to make it make sense within the context of the story, at least the good ones do.

Shinnok is an elder god though. I think he transcends a highly skilled fighter. Like had they used Raiden to enchant her with some power, it would have made sense or if there was a weakness in Shinnok that was exploited, but as it stands, she was a regular novice human that took down a god by herself. I dont see what being the daughter of a champion has to do with anything. I mean the heroes prior to her had to encase him in an amulet in order to defeat, and this was before he got his power upgrade in the Corrupted form.
It came across more like fan fiction when someone really wants to sell a character they love. It was pretty heavy handed here

Oh I totally get where you're coming from. I even agree.. I was just trying to see it from their perspective I guess. Women power? I dunno, lol.

This games story reminded me yet again why I don't play fighters for their story. Im fine with the little descriptions they give of each character. Thats all i need.

Ferra/Torr's ending kinda got me right in the feels. :(

One of my favorite endings so far.

anyone else think that Kitana's Dark Emperess skin looks like a cross between Maleficent and Michelle Pfiefer's Catwoman?

I hate Ferra/Torr but their ending is pretty damn good
