I thought Mary Jane was fine in Spider-Man, but in 2 she started getting a little annoying and by the time 3 rolled around she was full-blown obnoxious. I remember when I saw Spider-Man 3, half the theater cheered when Peter smacked her across the restaurant.

Three words:

KIRSTEN DUNST SINGING.

:cmad:

That kid from almost ANY movie. Seriously, I generally hate watching child actors.

But if I gotta be specific and nail just one or two down then Ron Weasley AND Hermione Granger from the Potter series.

Also, when referring to Anakin Skywalker a distinction should be made between Christiansen's Anakin and Lloyd's Anakin as they are both annoying as hell but for different reasons so much so that they are for all intents and purposes 2 different characters.

That kid from Iron Man 3.

I didn't mind him to be honest. His and Stark's "relationship" was very Shane Black. The kid trying to manipulate Stark... then Stark just blowing him off. Subverts the trope really well i think.

It was odd to divert the movie to fit that kid in but I think he was one of the better kid sidekicks in movies.

Coulson? What did you find so annoying about him?

Well I just couldn't picture him as a spy. I suppose I've been lured into that Handsome suave cool guy trope look for an agent and Coulson looked like an accountant more fitting for the concerned Dad in teen movies than an Agent. He kept turning up in almost every movie which just got old fast and he had that weird fanboy stalker and with Cap 'I watched you sleeping' 'I helped make your clothes'. I know he has his fans but I felt nothing when he 'died' even though he was pretty good in that scene.

Coulson, I liked. It was Sitwell I found annoying.

To be fair, MJ was supposed to be a bad singer in the movie.

The kid didn't bother me too much. After all, we got one of the best moments in the movie because of him:

I can sort of see your point if we're talking about the first two films since Ron never shut the hell up and Hermione got to be a bit obnoxious at times, but what was your problem with them in the later movies? Ron basically turned into a mumbling wallflower after the fourth movie and Hermione got hot. :o

Only saw the first 15 minutes of the very first film and then walked out back in 2001 or whenever it came out. That's all I needed to know that franchise wasn't ever going to be for me. From that and commercials for the subsequent films that was all I needed to get how annoying those characters were. And I'll never understand why anyone would think that girl is hot.

Rachel Dawes, no matter who was playing her.

Wait a minute, how were these two a-holes not included on the poll? They make Jar Jar look like Peter Venkman.

Sh**, I can't believe I hadn't thought of them until now. Also, that annoying roommate character in that movie was also awful.

I went with Mary Jane. No matter what, Kirsten Dunst's moments of pure overacting take me out of those movies every time she does it. What makes it even more annoying is the inconsistency. There are good scenes from her, which do that much more to set up the disappointing ones.

You probably didn't notice them because their entire movie was unwatchable trash.

Very true. I thought Maggie was more annoying

Yeah, she and Dunst's MJ Watson are the worst ingénues ever to grace a superhero film with their loathsome presence. It's just a matter of taste but for me Dawes is worse by a solid margin. Where as Watson is selfish and all that Dawes is a damn self-righteous know-it-all. Even though I don't like it in MJ's character I can understand selfishness at least. Plus Watson is based on a decent character who already existed in the comics so there's hope if they get the character right. A template does exist. Dawes was made up for the movie and has always been annoying.

I went with Bella Swan. Horrible character (imo) and Kristen made her more annoying.

Rachel Dawes comes in second, especially in TDK, ugh!

I never saw a Twilight film so I guess I'll count myself fortunate.

I chose Jar Jar but those twin robots in Revenge of the Fallen were just as terrible, if not worse.

As for the kid in IM3, I watched that movie just last night(third or fourth time for me) and the kid didn't bother me. He never did and that's saying something since I can't stand the majority of kids in movies.

Since so many of you guys hate Rachel Dawes, I have to ask... am I the only one who cracked up laughing when she blew up mid-sentence in TDK? I couldn't help it... it was like Nolan suddenly realized just how annoying the character was and was like "SHUT UP AND DIE ALREADY!!!"

No, you're definitely not the only one. I was so happy to see her die when I first watched TDK. On repeat viewings it's still satisfying. One thing that always bugs me in TDK is when Joker says "well hello beautiful". I'm always thinking to myself, "really?!, Really!?"

I don't laugh, but I don't take her death all that seriously. If it was Katie Holmes, then maybe I might have taken it more seriously.

Awww come on man, that's mean. My disdain for the Rachel character had nothing to do with Maggie's looks. Though I can understand why some people don't find her attractive. I've had a thing for her ever since Secretary but that still didn't stop me from finding her annoying in TDK.
