Most anticipated first pic:Silver Surfer or Full Armour Doom ?

Seeing the fist shots of Venom and the excitement it has created im wondering which of these 2 characters are you looking forward to seeing the first pic of most ?

For me it's Full armour Doom,i really hope he looks so much closer to 616 Doom this time with the proper armour

Without a shadow of the doubt, its gotta be Doom...as long as Surfer is "Silver" and his design shouldn't be too hard to do, then it is less likely they will screw it up. Doom on the other hand, if they are making him look like 616 Doom (armor, cloak and hood, the whole nine yards), then i am going to be one happy, happy man!!

I'm really torn 50/50 on this situation. On the one hand, I really want to see the improved Doom because we know he's due for some serious comeuppance in this franchise. And considering how certain actors have grown in their look, powers and personalities (see the latest versions of Storm and Phoenix in the last X-Men film) seeing a revamped Doom brought closer to his comic counterpart ranks highly on my top anticipation list.

However, the Silver Surfer is a brand new movie character. And of the entire Marvel film cannon, he is the first, real intergalactic alien they are bringing into this world. Done right, and this could have some E.T. proportions! Okay, just kidding. But you know what I mean.

It's tight, but I'm going to give the slight edge to Silver Surfer--simply because I am unbelievably excited about the look they will give him. I have a gut feeling I'm not going to have to worry about Doom's look this time around.

Great poll! I sat here with my finger hovering between the two for a while. I thought to myself: "If someone offered me a peak at one and only one, which would it be?"

It's a tough decision, but I went with Doom. I think I have a pretty good idea of what the surfer will look like (though they may surprise me), but Doom's a little more up in the air right now.

Doom. The last time Tim Story said to not worry about his look and character, was for the first movie.

I have difficulty believing him a second time.

I don't remember Story ever being quoted as saying "not to worry about Doom's character". I do remember him talking about the look. And from other articles it was stated that we wouldn't have even gotten as close as we did to Doom's look had it not been for Story. So, with that said, I would believe him long before I'd believed anyone else.

Doom's look as established in the first film, though clearly not as close to the comic version, wasn't horrible. When he first appears with the cloak and hood, he looked menacing enough. Where they truly failed was in his origin and giving him the cosmic spawned powers. All of that is easily salvageable, and armor has been used in the movies for years. If there's a serious attempt at transforming him into a more comic-based figure, I'm not too worried about it.

But the Surfer... that can come off really cool or really cheesy. I'd like to see them nail the look on the first day and be done with it so we don't have to hear about how another character has been ruined.

lol.yeah no matter what there will be some that aren;t happy with either SS or Doom's look,although there was a thread in the TF section where EVERYONE was happy over a choice
