Now i'm not saying any of these were bad movies. ia saying that maybe they were good but were kinda dissapointing compared to what a person hoped for. A few on this list were widely popular but they have been rumblings of dissapointment. This thread is for a movie that you expected to be better then an original or a movie that looked good trailer wise but fell flat when you watched it. One Movie i really liked was Pirates 2 but i've heard so many disgruntled masses expecting a better movie which i thaught was as good. To remind you just because i put in on here does not mean i did not like the movie.

You do a lot of best/worst lists.

The most disappointing film of 2006 for me was a tie between X3 and SR, w/ X3 taking the slight advantage.

Actually i've done one worst list but yeh i like the best list thing best. I put this list by not per say personal opinion for i liked X-3 and Pirates 2. I mean you can like a movie and still feel some dissapointment. Especially ina trilogy. I mean i loved pirates 1 but i kinda was expecting a better movie. But it was great but i felt a bit dissapointed. I however did not vote for any this year movie. Dungeons and Dragons based on a great oulet was the most dissapointing movie ever to me.

The Phantom Menace. Hands down. And I'm not even a huge Star Wars fan but I still felt extremely disappointed. Followed closely by Matrix Reloaded.

I didn't choose Superman Returns, T3, or AvP because I knew those were going to suck as soon as the director and cast were announced.

X3. supposedly the last movie it just felt completly wrong.

X3. It was lacking. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the whole movie just felt terribly rushed and w/o characterization.

The Da Vinci Code... the book is so much better than this.

X-men 3 by far. The previous films were fantastic. I had so much faith in the third adaptation....but was left very dissappointed:(

x-men the last stand, i went in expecting so much more :csad:

Alot of ppl feel about X3 how I felt about X1.

I was terribly disappointed.

Id say X3 but I pretty much knew going in it was going to be crap.

Looking back, Episode 1 provided integral plot and motivation for the entire Star Wars saga... HOWEVER, to me when I was 13 and going to see a BRAND NEW Star Wars movie, it was a pretty big disappointment.

X3, although I knew with that hack Ratner at the helm and Rothman holding the noose our brave X-Men would not win this battle.

RIP X-Men 2000-2006 : Killed by Ratner, Rothman, and 20CF.

I'd also say AVP was disappointing, but I also knew that would suck when you have one of the worst directors behind it as well, and whatdya know, so was 20CF again!

I honestly thought Sky Captain was going to be great. Heard good things about it. Actually saw it, and once the fake CGI background ran out of charm, the movie became a boring, badly written B-movie.

Of course, most disappointing was Episode I. I am a huge SW fan, and I could not wait for a new SW movie. I couldn't even believe there was a new one coming out. I went and waited for tickets for about 12 hours, and when I finally saw the movie, I was in a state of shock and denial. I didn't want to admit how terrible it was....Jar Jar, a pervading fakeness to the movie, the stupid badly-acting little kid, midichlorians, etc., etc....

I can't decide between FreedomLand and Unleashed....
Probably, Unleashed because I was more psyched up to see it. But Freedomland is was way crappier.

Matrix Revolutions EASY. I could JUST stand Reloaded, but Revo was pump. It ruined the 'trilogy for me and I have'nt watched the original since because of the pain I imagine I'll feel when I see it.

Superman Returns was a dissappointment because of the stupid evil plot, Lois being turned into a *****, the son and the lack of Clark. The actual Superman bits were awesome though.

I was also dissapointed by the messing about with the characters in PotC2.
