What are your most memorable acting moments in the show, whether it is Tom Welling or whoever? You know, the moments that have you glued to the screen, feeling for the characters involved?

My top few are:

1) Clark's reaction to Death of Lana. That moment that Clark speeds in as Lex is screaming, followed by the look on Clark's face and his reaction.

2) Clark's reaction to Death of Alicia. In Alicia Baker's last episode (the teleporter, where she shows Clark's abilities to Chloe), the moment in the Graveyard, the speech from Chloe and the reaction by Clark is priceless.

3) Lex and Impulse (Bart) in Justice. The ironic thing is that Michael played flash and kid-flash in Justice League and Teen Titans respectively, and even had an episode where he voiced Lex Luthor in flash's body. Now he interrogates and tortures flash in Smallvile as Lex? Woot! The line "and I want a pony tail.. disappoint abounds" has me laughing every time i see it.

4) In Arrow when Clark confronts Oliver after saving him from Lois unmasking him. I thought this back and forth was very nice, and though it reminded me of Batman and Superman meeting for the first time, it was different and unique in its own kinda way and helped set the stage for the characters.

For me, definitely Lexmas. I could actually feel Lex's happiness yet his pain knowing that something just wasn't right. MR gave an awesome performance and had me sad when he realized that this was not the life he was destined to have.

At the end of "Mercy" when Clark stood up to Lionel and told him to back off. I swear John Glover looked like he was about to mess his pants. :woot:

I loved it when Clark's sense of self had been totally taken apart by the doctor/phantom in Labyrinth and then he slid down the wall, a totally destroyed man.

What a powerful moment and Tom totally pulled it off.

I think the whole cast has had stellar moments, particularly this season.

Tom - I thought his scenes in Justice were just perfect. He has very much a natural leader vibe, probably behind and in front of the camera, and it really showed in his scenes with the other Superguys.
Crimson - the engagement party scene is an all-time classic and the credit for that is all Tom's.

Kristin - Loft scene in Crimson. Perfect blend of anger, frustration, and heartache. She totally owned it.

Michael - I can't remember which ep it was (maybe Wither?) but his scene with Jimmy really captured the Luthor attitude in the way he treated Jimmy like an insignificant speck.
The wheelchair scene in Crimson - very intense.
Lexmas - Probably my favorite Michael episode.

Allison - It's funny, whereas I think all the actors have noticeably improved since the first season, Allison is still pretty much the same. She's always been very consistently good as Chloe. Because of that, it stands out when she does have an "off" scene, like I thought she did in Justice.
Her scene where she told Clark to back off about the secret thing (Hydro?) was her most memorable recent one. Although, I thought her reuniting scene with Jimmy in Trespass was really on too.

any scene with shelby. she emotes so well---for a dog.

Memorable acting moments and Smallville aren't two things that come to mind for me.
Kinda like Dawson's Creek and Emmy.

The show can be fun, but hardly high drama at anypoint.

^ Couldnt help coming over to kick the sand castle eh? there's been plenty of decent acting performances on the show. No one implied Smallville is going to be replacing Roots any time soon, however there have been some memorable performances on the show especially from the likes of Glover, Rosenbaum, and O'Toole who are all tremendously talented actors and have appeared on the stage as well.

Emmy's are popularity contests and not much more. Hence the reason dreck like Desperate Housewives wins them each year. The comparison of the show to Dawson's Creeik got old around 2002.

Most painful and emotionally heart wrenching scene of the entire series:

Other great acting moments would include:

Lex's scenes in the wheelchair in Labyrinth, culminating with his outburst to Clark, "Open your eyes, you crazy SOB!!!"

Clark's delusional state and hand-wringing in Splinter while being manipulated by Fine.

Lana's break-down in Hypnotic.

Clark's tattered return to the farm and sacrifices after downing the ICBM in Hidden.

Lionel and Clark's exchange in Vessel about what Jor-El wants Clark to do with the Kryptonian knife.

More as they come to me...

Clark and Martha at the end of Memoria is still probably one of my top "non mythology" moments on the show. I called my mother down in Florida after I saw that.

Wow! No one's mentioned Welling channeling Glover and vice versa in "Transference" yet! :wow:

"Onyx" anyone?

The entire episode is driven by Mike's performance and Mike's performance alone. Absolutely amazing.

Wow! No one's mentioned Welling channeling Glover and vice versa in "Transference" yet! :wow:

Yes, that was awsome on both their parts.

You know who gave the best performance in the show........you might want to listen to this Patsy.......

DAWN STILES :p LATERS!

I just love all these ones that you guys are mentioning.

Splinter, Hypnotic, Memoria, Transference, Onyx.... Wow. This makes me want to watch all of those great episodes again.

When Lois was coming on to Clark, and he had this sheepish, embaressed grin on his face.

Then she turned around and BAM he was in the next state.:woot:

This scene was great I really felt his pain, and onyx, love the whole scene that ended with the "I am the villian of this story" I got chills

He is saying that it is unoriginal of the writers to have a person grieving the loss of his father.:whatever:

Thanks for clearing that up B8. ;)

That's me even more confused than I was before.

I just think he was saying that Smallville ripped off of Angel....like we hear on a regular basis by the same folks.

He is saying that it is unoriginal of the writers to have a person grieving the loss of his father.:whatever:

Actually I'm saying it is unoriginal for them take a scene straight out of Angel and put it in Smallville. In Season 1 of Angel, Doyle dies, we then see Angel and Cordelia watch a home video of Doyle where he says "Is that it, I'm I done" Its basically the same scene.

That is why it is a rip-off
