With the recent passing of the great Kevin Conroy shocking me so much(I hadn’t been this surprised about a celebrity dying since Chadwick Boseman) it got me thinking of starting a thread discussing the celebrity deaths that were the most shocking, that emotionally devastated you the most.

    Heath Ledger
    Micheal Jackson
    Whitney Houston
    Paul Walker
    Kobe Bryant
    Chadwick Boseman
    Kevin Conroy

Devastation is far too strong a word for me personally, but I have to admit that the passing of Norm Macdonald left me in a kind of stupefied disbelief for two or three days.

When I was a kid, Biggie getting killed and Aaliyah's plane crash rocked my world. I still remember that day of Biggie's funeral and everyone blasting his music.

I wasn't a super fan of his at all, but Kobe and his daughter's passing shocked the hell out of me too.

    Local....

    Miura Ken
    Takeuchi Yuko
    Miura Haruma

Yuko and Haruma were the most shocking to me.
For Yuko especially...she was just had her first child 1 year prior to her death.

Just awful thoughts when I learn about the news :(

From America...it has to be Chadwick Boseman and Kobe Bryant.

For Kobe...I still remember when I learn the news at the morning just I woke up...and when I checked my phone and scroll down my IG feeds (it was from Gal Gadot's feed who posted it "Farewell Legend") that I learn of his passing. How shocked I was to learn of "why???"... as just days prior to his tragic accident, Kobe posted a congratulate post to LeBron for passing his scoring points. Just the top of that his daughter also on the helicopter...just awful overall feelings.

For me, there have been a couple that stood out in my life.

    Chris Farley
    Heath Ledger
    Michael Jackson
    Robin Williams
    David Bowie
    Alan Rickman
    Prince
    Carrie Fisher
    Kobe Bryant
    Kevin Conroy

I think Robin Williams, Carrie Fisher and Chadwick Boseman hit me the hardest. Both from the shock of the news and the depression in the aftermath.

Of course there are others whose passing saddened me, like Stan Lee, Sean Connery and Angela Lansbury but given that they were in their 90s they weren't as much of a shock.

Yup. This here. Grew up with Robin Williams, watched his 2002 HBO special more times than I can count. I still watch it. I was definitely at a loss for words when I read he had passed.

Chris Cornell’s death really hit hard. So did Prince and Kobe.

Maybe the hardest was Amanda Peterson, aka Cindy Mancini from Can’t Buy Me Love.

Every guy in my generation that I know of had a crush on her in the late 80’s/early 90’s. It was really devastating to read about how bad her struggles became as she got older.

Kevin Conroy gutted me that Friday when we found out, but before that?

Most definitely George Carlin. That man has always been one of my heroes in comedy, and even before that he was one of the voices of my childhood with him being Mr. Conductor in Shining Time Station. That was a big one for me.
