Like the title says, it seems the cars are slowly being pushed into production versions of their movie counterparts one by one. The first one is the GMC TopKick 6500 "Ironhide" edition:

And now it seems Barricade is up next :wow:

From Motor Trend mag:

Now im pretty certain and hopeful other of the movie cars will get this same treatment. I have a feeling Jazz is up next. If i find something more i'll post it here, same goes for you guys.

sounds cool but i dont understand why they would make a barricade edition car. sure i know it looks cool but the seeing normal people driving a cop car but arent cops freaks me out a little.

Im sure he is otherwise why would they sell more than a few copies. If you look at the car you can see all the cop markings except the white doors and top lights have been removed. Like the decepticon logo replaced with saleen logo and on the door it says "saleen" instead of police...obviously.

That's cool. It's gonna cost so damn much though. I'd almost rather have that than Bumblebee.

From the article:

Dubbed the Saleen S302 Extreme, this beast is of the same configuration as "Barricade," the Decepticon police car featured in the new Transformers movie -- minus the 5-0 specific adornments, of course.

I guess we can speculate if "adornments" reaches as far as the paint scheme.

The version of Ironhide is being done by a company called Monroe in Flint, MI. Bumblebee is just a stock 08/09 Camaro. I think you can get a hard topped Solstice already (as was seen on the show Setup on SPEED). And who knows if Peterbilt will produce a Prime, but it would be wicked if they did.

looks like the Transformers franchise nowadays is rather a big car- than toy-commercial. Since its original followers have grown up by now companys have a good chance to sell alot of cars with this strategy :trans:

Unless they transform, who cares?

They look pretty good though

I actually saw police cars just like Barricade somewhere in Passaic County, NJ months ago on the street.
