I am gonna try this thread again but it can only work if everyone takes part and there is no wrong opinion here and reviewing a film you like or hate can be good thearapy to a bad or good day.
I have one rule everyones opinion must be respected when posting and no person remarks about grammer please.
I will try my best to keep it fun and full of great movies to review.
Happy Posting. Wolverine out.

Robo Cop.

I simply loved this movie and feel a remake is a shame cause this is like a scifi classic like Star Wars or Blade Runner. Needs too be unspoiled. Best part was Robo shooting the crook through the womens skirt.
7/10.

An action movie for a grittier decade....Kurtwood Smith, Miguel Ferrer, and Ronny Cox all play great villains.....extremely graphic (in a good way) I give it a 7/10

Dude, use some punctuation. :o

Love RoboCop..great gritty action. Peter Weller is excellent in the title role, and Kurtwood Smith is one of my favorite actors. He damn evil as Boddicker. 8 of 10.

BloodyWolverine you didn't say we could'nt ridicule and call names. :oldrazz:

Gosh, i still remember the first time i saw this movie and how it shocked me. :hehe: Yeah, it had graphic scenes (that scene where Murphy gets shot at made my jaw drop), but it had a lot of action and i found myself watching it time and time again when it finally made it to tv.
7.5/10

People can look back on Robo cop as they please but for me it is one of those classic science fiction films.

As long as its not overly mean in questioning ones intelligence ability. ****** and words like what grade did ya finish for your so dumb. That stuff sets me off but words like brown stain on my pants is ok. But nothing too personal. I am not a stick in the mud after all but do have some standards.

Only saw this in the last two years, one of those films I had hyped up a lot but never got round to watching it & unlike some of those other films which I hyped & felt disappointed (Alien anybody) Robocop certainly didn't disappoint & is one of my favourite movies now. It does a great job of showing a bleaker run down near future. Murphy being left for dead is still the most shocking death/torture scenes I've ever seen, I cringe everytime & very powerful. Even the special effects are cool in a fun cheesy way & the acting superb with a great script to boot filled with social satire elements with trademark Verhoeven violence. Even the score is very memorable & one of my favourite OST's, very underrated. Definitely Paul Verhoeven's best work in my opinion.

10/10

For a thread called "Movie Review Thread" its baffling how little actual legitimate reviewing is present.

Whatever.:whatever:

*Exits thread*

I could care less about actual paid reviewers opinons. I much prefer too see regular peoples opinions. I can do the long winded reviews but people over at cs complain how i don't get what your saying alot.

I guess. I just don't see the point in calling it a review thread and then just giving half-baked reactions which essentially state:

"This movie was cool. I liked when the guy exploded."

What the hell does that mean?

I'm interested in reading people's opinion too, but they have to give something of a thought out response before it becomes worth acknowledging.

At least Darkfly is trying, dammit!:woot:

Robocop is one of my all-time favorite Sci-Fi films. It is nearly perfect, and I think has aged well. Everytime I watch it, I am in awe. This film has great satire, great acting, great drama, great action, and is just great. Sans the shot of the one robot falling down the stairs, this is a great view.

Too bad the sequels suck :csad:

10/10 for Robocop!

Walking Tall.

You can kinda tell the wwe influences on the rock early films for well they were differant. Walking Tall in my mind had the perfect cast acting wise and the family worked for me. The girl worked as a Rock gf. The villain here was so/so. Johnny Knoxville was great. But i feel the movie was too Short and could have been 20 minutes longer.
The Rock as good here like in The Rundown his best movie but wwe crap producing is apparent.
I guess i am saying The Rock getting better acting and movie role wise since became Dwayne Johnson even if it is family stuff for right now.
I liked the movie ok but just wished things were better, Minor things is all.
6/10.

I have no great hate or love for 'Walking Tall'...you see that Dwayne Johnson is developing into an action star. The whole internal struggle is there, just like in the Rundown, that Johnsons character was "a very bad man" before coming home and is trying to leave that behind. Johnny Knoxville is comic relief and Neal McDonough plays a serviceable villan (and he's better than that). Johnson is elected Sheriff and fires the whole of the Sheriffs department without any legal recourse from anyone?? Never got that but I guess a plot hole is OK if it works out for the good guy. The third act is extremely anti-climactic which basically amounts to a shoving match between Johnson and McDonough near the saw mill that used to support the town. I don't hate this move, but I don't love it either.

5/10

I found this remake to be underwhelming at best despite Dwayne Johnson's action star potential at the time. It wasn't worth repeated viewings for me.

5/10

I say the WWE held back Rock better range and kinda hurt the action thing. His acting is far better in Gridiron Gang, Race To Witch Mountain and that other Football movie. I think he will be given an action movie again but i think he now makes his own choices in films not The Vince wants him too do.

Hehe, oops :D

I always get'em confused

First Rock movie which made me think this guy could be the next Arnie/Sly. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has always been a guy I'll watch no matter the movie, not a great actor but a fun & entertaining actor. But the fact he really shows what he can do acting wise in this film impressed me the most, a real screen presence in this film, not over the top & quite believable. Not a big fan of Johnny Knocksville but in this he's quite with standable. Nice to see a action movie which isn't quite in the modern style of hollywood action movies, has a good deal of building up the tension & developing the story at a fine pace.

7.5/10

Um You are reviewing The Rundown not Walking Tall dude. Johnny Knoxville was his side kick not Sean William Scott in Walking tall.
Then again The Rundown was a better movie buddy.

I really liked this movie more then i thaught i would considering i am not a big chick flick fan but this chick kicks serious arse. I kinda liked the character of Viggo Mortensen the hard ass mean drill instructor that seemed to hate her and yet maybe wanted to not admit his attraction for her. In my mind i think they had a thing for each other but ofcourse that could be my worped mind.
Anyways its a pretty good not great movie but i am alot easier on it then many others.
7/10.

I enjoyed the film and was really impressed that Demi committed to the role in a mental and physical sense. Parts come off as a bit cliche with the woman overcoming odds in a mans man world, but a lot of the political wheeling and dealing that goes on behind the scenes of her being selected for the training is one of the strong points of the movie. Viggo is fantastic as the SpecWar instructor and the third act is OK, but comes off as a little rushed to show Demi in an action role

7/10
