I'm watching it twice because terrible things happened last night before I watched it (was shown to a room to watch it, then guided to a different room to watch it, so I had to wait almost three hours to watch it), so I'm watching it tomorrow sometime for a special 4th of July kind of thing; but I did time it basically all on Monday night (without credits, the movie was 2 hours and 16 mins., the ending, to me, was after the clip of Starscream leaving).

And it was the 30 mins. mark where Frenzy was in Air Force One and finding about the Megatron and the Allspark's location. So, that's...1 hour and 46 mins.

Yah, think so, lol.

I timed it a little Today on my 3rd viewing....


Trailers 10-15 minutes.

From Beginning of Transformers to Optimus Prime and the gang showed up - about 1 Hour.

About 45 minutes before the End Battle.

Fom the scene from when Frenzy says All sparks located, then Decepticons on the move to Megatron's defeat - About 30-31 Minutes

For me, it's Just curious how long the Finale Battle is, how much time they spend with the Love story, Military, Sector seven plot, etc.

If you are a fan, I think characterization analysis is very important to know!

This is ONE film I don't want to overanalyze. I'm having a hard time keeping myself convinced I like it as it is.

Here is what I prefer to see in the sequel... Like Star Wars the Middle Chapter should be Decepticon Strikes Back Hard... causing a Major cliffhanger that Autobots and Human are about to ALL die, or something Dramatic like that to set up for Transformer 3!

A 30 minute battle scene? You gotta be insane. The scene of the sentinels invading Zion in Matrix: Revolutions, was something like 7 minutes... and that was a LOOOOOONG scene.

I mean, that's what I am talking about.

I didn't see a 30 minute battle scene. I saw cut shots of a battle, mixed in with a lot of Sam running, mixed in with him on a roof not battling a whole lot, mixed in with shots of soldiers talking into their radios, mixed in with Mikala passing out onto her steering wheel.

I guess we have a different idea of what a scene is.

I think you're talking about a sequence. Which is different, but maybe I'm being nitpicky.

For God sakes, it's ALL action/Battle!

What's Action? People Intense, and Running, not Quiet/talking, but Yelling. That's what I mean.

It was the human element of the movie that gave the movie the depth it needed and turned into more than just another action movie. I don't see what was wrong with it. I thought that they gave plenty of time to the Transformers and the build-up leading to the introduction to all of the robots is what made their appearances so much more powerful. It's an origin movie for crying out loud!

Oh, and BTW, I've seen the movie about four times and from my estimation, the time into the movie where Frenzy located the All Spark, must've been around 103 minutes into the movie (The movie is 144 minutes, right?) . That's just a guess..

Its good for you that you feel that way, but for a movie that is called Transformers...there is very little focus on the title characters. I can see the first half being devoted to setting up the human characters...but the 2nd half should have been nothing but Sam and the Transformers. All the Sector 7, hackers, and Frenzy chasing the humans scenes could have went toward more Transformer time. Especially a decent Optimus vs Megatron battle.

It just seems that you have a pet peeve on everything in the movie that didn't have to do with the Transformers talking to each other and blowing stuff up. I mean, they can't move the plot along by themselves, ya know.

It just seems like you are happy with what this movie provides...and that is fine. But to say that the Transformers could not have progressed the plot without human interaction is being close minded. Why do you say this? Did Gollum from LotR not progress the plot when it was just him onscreen? How would it be any different with other CGI characters if written and acted correctly? And thanks for assuming that that's all I wanted to see...which is not true in the very least.
