So, when you're young, you tend to view films a tad bit differently then when your a matured adult or a young adult for that matter. I'm sure we all have movies that we loved as a kid but watch now and we're like "ehhhh yikes, what was I thinking?" What were some movies that even as a little kid had you going "nah. nope. Not buying this bulls***"? lol

To start off, for me, Street Fighter 1995. Man, I was big into Street Fighter and was amped for this movie but I walked out of that movie really disappointed, it just felt...OFF to 9 year old me. It didn't feel like Street Fighter and i felt cheated.

I mostly only remember being bored by movies as a kid. I could accept stupidity, plot holes, and hammy acting, but slow things tended to make me zone out, even if they were things I might like as an adult.

As an older kid, though, I did have a particular dislike for the movie Beethoven.

I feel like such a grinch for saying this but I hated A Christmas Story as a kid and I still hate it today.

I also hated Batman and Robin. I didn't even finish it.

One that stands out to me is Kazaam.

Superman III. I loved the first two, and I remember as a kid being so disappointed at it, especially the comedy of it.
I distinctly remember thinking, Wth were they thinking and what have they done to my superman???

The Shining, Fantasia, and I don't remember others.

The Incredible Journey
Superman 3 & 4
Home Alone 2
The Neverending Story 2

I liked everything as a kid. Every new film was something new to see. On the other hand, I didn't watch anything too mature or serious.

LOL! I loved Street Fighter'95 but I was a die hard JCVD fan as a kid.
I understand that cheated feeling doh.

Anyway for me, E.T., Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Raimi's Spider-Man and Back To The Future. I remember being a kid and everyone raved and loved these movies except me. I watch them all again as an adult and hated them even more.
All these movies were either too sappy or corny for me.

Not liking E.T. or BTTF is a crime of the state. Fact.

One that's coming to mind is Brazil. I've watched that thing 3 or 4 times since I was about 13, at different ages, trying to get into it, and I just can't at all for some reason.

I guess I see the praise for it, but something about it just doesn't engage me at all, and I love 1984. Gilliam's a strange one, some of his stuff I really dig and others just leave me really cold.

Same feeling with Time Bandits, first tried watching it at say 9/10 years old, and as I progressively got older into my teens and still could not engage in it.

Waterworld
The Phantom
Godzilla
The Blair Witch Project
Super Mario Brothers
Grease 2
Alien 3
Inspector Gadget
Lost In Space
Toys

All movies that I watched when I was younger and hated.

Super Mario Brothers
I loathed this one more when I was younger, I just don't care for it now.

I also never liked Who Framed Roger Rabbit, looking at the big boobed human lady married to an anthropomorphic rabbit makes it harder for me to watch a movie that bored me as a kid. Oh yeah, and the explosion that killed the dude she was with did not do any damage to her while she was there (I think).

Me neither, was going for a mass-global appeal :woot:

Well the world is full of saps. But the saps that love these movies wouldn't have the heart to enforce the penalty of this so called crime.
They'd probably just talk a lot, trying to convince one how wrong they're for not enjoying these films. hahaha! Whaat a world that would be.

Ya, I'm with you there. However, I aalways liked the climax of the movie. Chrisopher Lloyd used to freak me out with those bug eyes and I wasn't an easy kid to scare. I just found him so unsettling that I loved it haha!

Jumanji
Jurassic Park
Toy Soldiers
ET
A Christmas Story

Grease 2 is a very valid choice.

I loved Grease as a kid. What kid didn't? But something about Grease 2 was always off and lame.

Star Wars The Phantom Menace. Outside of the lightsabre fights I thought it was boring. Kids don't give a damn about trade disputes and Jar Jar was annoying.

Batman & Robin. Even as a kid I thought it was some goofy s***.

Baby's Day Out. I don't know why but I recall seeing this movie at some point and disliking it.

Star Kid. Another movie I disliked immensely as a kid.
