I was just wondering if anyone saw a Comic book movie and then thought it was so good they'd buy the comics and wither or not they liked the books as much as the movie.

I've been tempted to buy Hellboy after seeing the two movies but I'm gonna wait till I get more money.

I was also tempted to do it with Hellblazer after seeing Constantine but all the fans of the comic put me off coz they hate the movie.

i'd never picked up a ghost rider comic until i heard nic cage was going to be in the movie. i picked up road to damnation and i loved it and now get the currect series, never miss an issue:up: and the comics are far better than the movie....

Considering so many are serials, I go back and forth depending on quality which is rarely consistent.

Most graphic novels I read before the movie. I rarely read them after the movie.

The Sin City series and LXG are the 2 I picked up after the movie

I got into Hellboy a lot after the movie and the real Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after seeing TMNT.

Pick up Wanted. It's almost completely different than the movie. Same with the Hellboy series. Sin City is identical to Vol 1,3, and 4 to the movie so I'd wait a little while for Sin City.

I read Wated long before the movie and I saw the trailers and read about the movie and turned it down. I'll rent the movie but I never went to see it.

In terms of characterization, Hellboy in the movie is pretty much spot-on to Hellboy in the comic (except for the added-in romantic angle with Liz), and the plots are usually very episodic, so it's not particularly hard to jump right into the thick of things. Just about everything in the second movie was made up from scratch, but if you liked the first one, you'll probably like the comic.

Hellblazer and Constantine are two different beasts entirely, like the movie version of Wanted. I still recommend it, but it's pretty much nothing like the Keanu Reeves flick.

As for comics I've read after watching the movie, LXG and American Splendor immediately spring to mind.
